Rose & Crown for Illuminations

I have dinner reservations at the Rose & Crown at 7:15. Illuminations starts at 9. I have heard that this restaurant offers patio seating, which offers great views of the fireworks. How do I go about getting one of those tables, and if I cannot get one of these tables, where should I go to see Illuminations?

Also, how is the food/atomosphere at this restaurant?

Even if you don't get an outside seat, just before Illuminations begins, they will come around to all of the inside tables and suggest that you go stand outside to watch.

There is no way to guarantee an outside table.

EVERYONE asks to sit outside at R&C.

Not everyone can.

Your results in asking the CM at the podium will vary from "No, sorry" to "if you wait we will see what we can do"....my experience has always been rejection, even if I offered to wait. Others have had mixed experiences.

Thanks for your help! As long as I get to see Illuminations, I'll be happy. I've been to Disney so many times, and this is the one show I have never seen!

The restaurant itself offers a fine selection of English fayre with a great selection of beers. As has been said, an outside table cannot be guaranteed. While others suggest that by waiting or asking, an outside table can be yours - it is my experience that the R&C staff seat you at the next available table to accomodate your party (inside or out). If seated inside, you will be taken outside by the staff in time to see Illuminations

We were there twice, and were lucky enough to get an outdoor table the first time. The second time, we went outside for Illuminations in an area reserved for R&C customers, so it was still better than fighting the crowds outside.
