Rose and crown is the best view IMO but the food can get a little old, its pretty standard pub food. Have you been to both? If not i would try the one you haven't been to before!

Neither will guarantee a view of Illuminations from your seat, but Rose & Crown has a viewing area that they can escort you to from your table when it's time for the show.

My best friend and I had a water side table up against the railing on the patio at Spice Road Table for IllumiNations and it was AMAZING. great view, DELICIOUS small plates and a pretty tasty pitcher of red sangria... I think our reservation was around 7:50p and we were able to select inside or out and we jumped at the chance to eat outside right next to the water. We visited in late January and the weather was perfect and seeing the fireworks from there was super cool. Haven't ever seen the show from Rose & Crown, so I can't compare.

Enjoy!!

Have done this several times and on each event have found the view terrible due to the large volume of tall people in front of me and my spouse.

Had Rose and Crown on the deck last year. View was amazing. Have a 8pm ADR for SRT this year (Iliuminations is at 9). Looking forward to the view.

Biggest thing that others have pointed out...

DO NOT THINK YOU ARE GUARANTEED A FIREWORKS VIEW! If you go expecting this, you more than likely going to be miserable.

If you're going for fireworks, go for fireworks. If going for food, go for food. Do not have the notion you will get both at the same time. Everyone who books late meals wants this same thing. Only so many get it. Don't set yourself up for failure.

Going off of just food...I would vote for Spice Road Table over Rose and Crown. Much more exciting tastes, and the restaurant itself is more of a looker than the pub so if you don't get the seating you want, it's still an experience in itself.

My wife and I did R&C and got a patio seat at the railing last December and loved everything about it The food was terrific the view was outstanding and the holiday tag was astonding. We've got a ADR for SRT this December and are hoping we enjoy it just as much!
