this is the first time at wdw and made reservations at rose and crown dining package for candelight processional my understanding is that the package includes preferred seating to see the processional but since the processional is held at the American garden how far is the restaurant from the show and what would be the best transportation option from the rose and crown to the processional thank you

You'll have to walk. It's not too far away, about 1/3 of the way around World Showcase. Get there early. Even with preferred seating the line gets very, very long and people get there early. I think when we did the package last year (2012), we got in line for the preferred seating around an hour before the show. We were able to sit on the second row, but on the far left. Not a bad seat, IMO. At least we were under cover. It started raining just before the show and many people (with an without the dining package) were sitting in the rain. IIRC, there were two lines. The "regular" line and the preferred seating line. The preferred seating line was allowed to take their seats before the regular line.

We *loved* the show and plan to do it again when we visit in Dec 2014.

Here's a map:

I too am doing the R & C C. P. The C. P. dining also includes reserved standing for Illuminations, a little bonus for charging 2 D.P. credits

Using the map posted above, Rose & Crown is the little building by the water in the UK (Number 19), to the left of the blue camera icon. You will need to walk from there through France, Morocco, and Japan to get to the American Gardens Theatre. That walk will be the quickest and shortest way for you to go.

As mentioned, getting to the theatre early is important. We did it a few years back, and the line for the reserved seating went from the theatre, over to the little Mickey glove icon by the water in Morocco. They will try to "sell" every seat in the show as a reserved seat, so all you get is guaranteed admission. And if you get there too late, they may let standby guests fill up any remaining seats, so don't wait to long.

There are no options other than walking. As a brisk walker, it takes me about 8 minutes to get to the theater from the UK.

Get in line early. I have seen the CP twice and getting in line early is important even though you have guaranteed seating.

You could take the Friendship boat, if it is still running, but unless you have some sort of physical issue, walking will be easiest and probably quickest. It's not that long a walk. :) starting in England, you'll want to up, toward France. It's the shortest walk and the line for CP seating always starts on that side of the theater. :)

I think that R&C ends up being about halfway between the two docks, so walking back to the dock should take about as long as walking to the destination dock. And then you cut out the wait/time for the boat ride. An nice option none the less, especially if its a nice day and you aren't in a rush.
