Rope Drop Question

Agreed. We also had 8am reservations at CP and headed to fantasyland at 8:40 on a 9am opening day. We were just ahead of the entry crowd and completed 7D, Peter Pan, Pooh, Dumbo, Barnstormer, mermaid and small world (in that order) by 10:30 with no real waits.
I would recommend getting to the parks at least 30-40 minutes before the early breakfast reservation opening as a big queue forms for those with breakfast reservations to get in to make their way to their restaurant. We were there at 7:20 for 8am reservations and they started letting us in about 7:45.
Thanks so much for that info as in March we have a 8:10 at CP, first time going before park opens and that's great advice.

The closer to the front of the early entry ADR queue the better. Only 1 tapstile is open so it can take a while to get everyone in the queue through. The longer it takes you to get through and to CP, the longer it takes to get seated as others with the same time slot, but who checked in before you, are seated first. Have a great time! CP is so yummy for breakfast.

What time does rope drop usually end, and how long does the CM take to get everyone to FL? We have an ADR at BoG for 9:15 am, park opens at 9:00 that day. Because our ADR is after park open, we can't get in early with the pre-rope drop ADRs-is 15 minutes enough time for the CM leading the pack to get us to BoG? I'm sure we could make it in 5 minutes if we were left to our own devices, but if a CM is controlling the speed at which we move down MS and through the hub, I just want to make sure we can make it on time.
It takes at least 15 minutes to get to the back of the park. I would think you should be allowed to start up by 8:45 so you can check in at 9., but others here may know better than I do.
I would politely voice my concerns at the special park entrance when you check in. I would kindly speak/plead with the CMs at the front and explain that I wish to check in at 9 and therefore need to be allowed in to start walking in before the mob. They do walk slowly up MSUSA. You also don't want to be in the middle of the mob.
Any delay or fear of delay is stressful. You want to enjoy your vacation.
That's what I would do. I wish I could tell you more, but I don't work there...yet.
