I am planning my first Disney cruise for my daughter, my niece, my sister and I. It is our annual ladies only vacation. It will be on the Disney Magic ship. We are so excited. But my question is…does anyone know which staterooms are near the elevators? I would prefer to stay as close to the elevator as possible. I have been researching everything. If there are any tips that you believe are important to know or any info please feel free to post. I appreciate all input. Thank you!

You may find this useful. It gives you a deck by deck breakdown of the Magic in a format that I find easier to use than the one on the DCL website. In addition, it will tell you room numbers and (more importantly) room category types.

I would stay more towards the Forward or Aft elevators. Mid elevators are usually more busy and may have more foot traffic. CruiseCritic has great information. I am sure any room you choose will be magical!

EDIT: Actually… those deck plans are a little out of date since the Magic got updated after it’s dry dock. I’ll see if I can pull up an updated one. It is relevantly the same just names and stuff got changed.

On the Fantasy, we were right next to one set of mid-ship elevators, and we really appreciated the convenience. We didn't notice additional noise, either.

Same with us on the Dream, we where located literally right at the opening to the elevators, only time we noticed foot traffic was embarkation. If you truly want quiet I would go to either Aft or Front but wherever you go your cruise will be awesome.

Off topic, I find it weird that there are no new deck plans of the updated Magic. Well at least I can’t find any new deck plans.

Main advice, if you put anything on your door like magnets etc, put your room number on them, they tend to be moved and dumped down the hall by kids.

I had a room very close to the elevators on Deck 2 Room 2544 (approx. cant remember exact) on the Dream. It was a "Deluxe" stateroom. I understand you want the convenience of the elevator, but you'd be surprise of the noise. Though the Dream has a restaurant down on deck 2, I surely suggest a room close, but enough distance from the elevators. The traffic flow near them can be loud especially with kids running down halls. Though you'd sure be outside a lot and wont run into this problem often, it can be annoying with the occasional nap or rest. So please be aware the rooms aren't sound proof and that its a good idea to not be to near to those lobbies.

The Disney cruises are fantastic and I hope you have a wonderful time!

I've never had a noise problem near elevators, and they are incredibly convenient! We've had loud kids go by occasionally, but that can happen anywhere. :)

Noise has never been an issue for us we have stayed near elevators on deck 8 old ships and deck 12 new ships the only issue has been 1 people taking our door magnets and 2 on concierge people regularly ringing our bell and running off.
