Room upgrades

So we're headed down to AKV this Friday. Having second thoughts about not booking a Savanah View room. If I get down there and decide I want to upgrade my room, can I do that, since I used DVC points to pay for the room? I mean, can I get down there and just say, hey, charge me the difference in DVC points and move me to an upgraded room?

I'm not positive, but I believe you can if htey have rooms available and you have enough points.

a few years ago we decided to add an extra night while we were already down there. I am not 100% positive but I think the front desk handled everything I may have had to call member services. But either way it was easy, it had to be a seperate resie but we didnt have to change rooms or anything. So i would think the procedure would be very close to your situation. That is if the room is available and you have the points.

On our trip last month, I wondered if I had made the right decsion in using extra points for the savanna view studio.
But it was so worth it! I was on that balcony all the time.

Everyone is different, but I'll never go back without having that amazing view!
