Ok so I am staying at the WL on the 13th of Sept for 4 nights. I want to put in a room request. How and when should I do it.

We want a great view and want out to the buses quick. So also where should I request.

I think all you have to do is call where you made your reservations and let them know. When I made my reservation at Port Orleans Riverside, I made all my requests right at the time of booking. Good Luck!!!!

To make requests, make sure you call them 2-3 days prior to arrival. I made a couple of requests when I reserved a room and they didn't fulfill them when I called to check 2 nites before. Well they fixed it up and everything worked out.

Even though you may tell your travel agent or a cast member your request, the only person who can truely help you are the people at the front desk. I'm assuming they don't check on requests until the day you arrive. So make sure you double check with them or you'll lose valuable time checking in. Who wants to spend 30 minutes talking about arrangments when that time could be spent in the pool or in the parks :) .

Thanks, Talsonic. I've been looking for that post on that website for some time and had not been able to find it. Have to get a non-smoking room for the Allergy Queen of America--my wife!

Here is our advice that worked in July. 3 days before our arrival I faxed our room request to the ROOM ASSIGNOR at the Polynesian. I detailed what building I wanted and why. My son has asthma so we wanted to be as close to the GCH as possible. Be polite but not demanding. I also told them I asked for this building in February and did not get it. This was noted in our reservation (our room request), but I think the polite fax to the appropriate person really helped. Must be done EXACTLY 3 days before arrival and I did it before 10 a.m. We also checked in around 11 am so I think that helped to. The later you check in you might get what is leftover unless your room is blocked, they do this 3 days before .

The WL is a fairly small hotel. Any room that you get is not going to be too far from the bus stop etc. If you have a standard room , I say keep it. If they have empty rooms in the Courtyard view catagory, they will (should) automatically upgrade you to this at no extra charge. If they do not give it to you, by all means....ask for it.

The Courtyard views are the best in my opinion. I have stayed in the Jr. suites also.

You might want to look at a map of WL.

You can be close to the bus stop.

You can be close to the boat launch.

But it is tricky to be close to both.

The bus stop (for MGM, AK, and Epcot) is in the front of the building; the boat dock is in the back, on the lake (surprise!!:hammer: )

If you are anywhere above the second floor, it really doesn't make a difference since the elevators (both sets) let eveyone fro mall the floors above out at the same place whether your room is close to the bus stop or the boat launch.

Now, being close to the elevator could be advantageous. :D
