Room requests and Driving to MK

I just heard today from a friend that she thought I could request a certain room at the All Star Music? I was told when I booked I would be staying in the preferred section of the Cylpso building 1 or 10. Has anyone out there ever requested a certain room and if so what one would be the best?

Also, can I drive to MK, park and walk up to the entrance? Someone said that once you parked they had to take a boat there? I'm all confused now. Please help!!! Like I've said before, I've never been to Disney.

Five days before your arrival your reservation will show up in the computer system at the Disney hotel you are registered for. Call the hotel directly and ask for the "Rooms Controller" in the "Front Office". These are the people who actually do the rooms assignments. If you talk nicely to them, they may give you specifically what you are asking for. This will work at all the hotels.
