Room Request at BW

Last year we stayed at AKL and, based on recommendations of others from this site, requested a room in a specific block in order to have a good view. It worked, and we had a fantastic view!

This year, we are staying in a garden view room at Boardwalk Inn, and I thought I'd see if anyone has any recommendations of room requests to make for BW. I've heard that some rooms have a view of EPCOT, but I wasn't sure if that applied to garden view rooms. Regardless, any recommendations of room requests for a garden view room at BW would be appreciated.

AKL Good View

Kennedy - Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but do have a question? Next week we are going to stay at AKL for the first time - would love to know the section you stayed in for a great view or any recommendations you might have.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn in October with a Garden View room on the 4th floor. You are so gonna hate me but I can't remember which room number...

Anyway, I faxed them a room request and asked for a good view of Epcot so we could see the fireworks from our balcony since it was our anniversary.

Disney came through with flying colors. We got a room that was kinda close to the elevators that had a perfect view of the back of World Showcase and Spaceship Earth. My wife was tickled that every morning we woke up to the Eiffle tower out our window.

But... 4th floor is a must for a good view, anything lower and the trees are in the way. Anything to the left side of the elevators would be great (left as when you get off them and walk out of the little elevator lobby) Our room was first to the right of the elevator but if it had been one or two more down, you wouldn't have been able to see.

But in your room request, just ask for an upper level room with a good view of Epcot. I bet they'll take care of ya if they can.

Cheers and good luck,

Kennedy,

If you haven't seen this, we found this link really helpful in getting our room request. Good tips on how to ask.

They recommed faxing your 4 days before you arrive, we did it 3 days.

Plus when I mentioned it was our anniversary, the Boardwalk Inn Staff gave us a little gift basket when we checked in. Very nice of them.

Disney Grandma--have fun at AKL. It is a gorgeous place! You should request a room on the Arusha Savannah, Zebra Trail, on the third floor, by a feeding station. That's what we had, and the room had a fantastic view. Make sure you fax your room request in 3-4 days in advance, and described in the link that is attached to one of the above replies to my thread.

No prob Kennedy. Just don't ask for a water view. Almost all of the water views on the Inn side face away from Epcot. The water views on the Villa's side do face Epcot but they are the Disney Vacation Club properties and are more expensive, especially compaired to the discount coded rooms at the Inn.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks Kennedy!

Kennedy - thank you so much for the information. I have faxed my request and we will see. We arrive on Wednesday. The parents of one of the grandsons going with me, have just divorced and his little world is quite upside down. He just loves animals, Animal Kingdom, and Kilimanjaro Safaris - We usually stay at WL, but at his request we are going to AKL this trip. I sure hope it works out and meets all his dreams and expectations. That probably won't be that hard as the two boys going are 4 and 7. How can you go wrong - Disney, animals and young boys.
