Room only 1 month out

Since we began staying on property, this is our first trip where we have booked room only as opposed to a room & ticket package with dining. Previously, about 1 month out, we have gotten a little goodie packet in the mail with some luggage tag, meal vouchers, etc. Of course, I realize that some of this stuff is exclusive to guests with a package reservation, so I don't expect to get those things this time around. But my question is, will I get anything in the mail? Our arrival date is April 12. Even though I don't expect to get luggage tags, vouchers, etc, should I get some kind of letter confirming our arrival, with pictures of the hotel, etc? Just something about getting an envelope from the Disney Travel company in those last few weeks that adds to the excitement of an upcoming trip.

You might get a little standardized brochure about the resort and what "new" things there are to do in the parks.
If you arranged for DME, you should get the tags and packet for that.

But the other mailing with the souvenir luggage tags, coupons, free mini golf vouchers, etc are exclusive to Package reservations.

Funny thing, I don't recall if we have ever got anything and we always book "room" only vacations. I don't think we ever did. Have a safe and happy trip! :wave:

We do room only all the time and never receive anything before hand.:wave:

Room only receives nothing unless they book DME, and then they receive the DME booklet and yellow tags.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Not the answer I wanted to hear but oh well, no big deal. It's just kind of exciting as you get to the final few weeks before the trip, to get something in the mail confirming your reservation and telling you they're looking forward to seeing you. But I guess I'll just have to settle for knowing that it's only 4 weeks away.

I guess I can take consolation in the fact that I finally found our pin lanyards. We moved back in October and I have been looking all over the place for my son's lanyard from last year and my two lanyards. I was starting to think I was going to have to buy new lanyards for this trip, but I went out to the shed a few minutes ago and was digging through a box and found them. So even though I won't get anything in the mail this week as I had hoped, at least I found the pin lanyards. :ROFLOL:
