Does anyone know where WDW builds there room models? Is it at a secret WDW location or somewhere offsite to keep lost and or snooping guests from finding them? Also does anyone know of where pictures of them might exist?

Not sure, but someone should check on the Doorway to Dreams shop in Woodfield Mall. I was in there on October 12, and heard the AK Lodge models would soon be changed to the Bay Lake Tower models.

I believe that the model rooms used to be approximately where Pop Century is now. I don't believe that any free-standing model rooms exist any more. The current consensus on this board is that the Animation Inn and Suites model rooms are being built inside the unfinished Pop Century Legendary Years check-in building.

from my understanding they had the model rooms for bay lake towers at the contemperary but not sure where.
The "sort-of-open-to-the-public" model rooms are at Saratoga Springs Resort, on the DVC "campus" there. However the ones probably being referred to (in a certain article on a certain Disney blog) are I'm sure well hidden from the public. The ones in that article are the "proof of concept" type thing, not the "show them to the public so they'll stay there" rooms.

They are visible from Caribbean Beach. I've seen the All Star models (garish colors and designs) through the wooded areas from the Resort when we stayed at CBR yearly.

Take the promenade all the way out to Trinidad South. Then swing a left and head out to the parking lot and walk on the cast roadway. You'll see the buildings out that way.

Back when I ran Cross Country in HS I always had to run on vacation at Caribbean Beach. My mileage took me near and past the model rooms. Pretty neat to look at.
