Room location request, chances affected by check-in time?

Just a quick question... I have a room request in for a certain building.. actually gave the choice of two buildings at Port Orleans.
We won't be arriving until later in the evening (9:00ish) on our day of arrival... does that hurt your chances of getting your room request the later you check in since most have already checked in by that time? Or are the rooms selected beforehand?

Hope that makes sense! I do plan to do online check in as soon as it opens, but I don't believe that makes a difference in what room you're assigned.

The old trundle bed was about the size of a crib mattress - just like the new murphy bed. Because it's meant for a small child. So not much difference there!

The new bed is definitely for a child, but also definitely much larger than a crib mattress.... my 9 yr old had plenty of room on it.. I would say she'd get a couple of more years sleeping comfortably on it. And the mattress was definitely enough support... not sure how it'll stand the test of time.. but brand new it was great. There are three drawers underneath... our family of 5 managed just fine with the storage that was in the room. DH and I did keep our things in a large suitcase on the floor next to our bed (plenty of room to have it laid out) and hung up our clothes for the next day each night to de-wrinkle. LOL

These are really a wonderful option for a family of 5.... cheaper than 2 value rooms, a family suite, and a deluxe... so the most affordable option with 3 young children and we all loved the theme-ing. The kids got a kick out of telling Tiana that she was on their bed as a frog

That makes sense, then! I didn't realize these were meant for a small child- I've never had any reason to utilize them. Thanks for clarifying!

I always call 5 days before we leave and re-request my room preference....it has always worked for me..we even ask for a specific ROOM!!! I had been told they assign the rooms the week prior so why not ask again!!! Good Luck!
