room capacity

All right I need some help. I just tried to book room only reservations for April 2004 at Pop Century. Can I put 5 people in one room? Two adults and three children ages 10,6, and 3. CRO said they would book it but at check in the resort may require me to get two rooms. Whats the story anybody know???

Since Pop Century is a value resort, I think the limit is four people per room. The moderates are definetly a limit of five though. Never stayed in a value, so I'm not sure. Just tell them you only have four people, they'll never know, and since you don't need a key or anything for the 3 year old, it won't make a difference.

Yes, 3 and under count as infants. We have stayed at the All Stars with three adults a 5 year old and a three year old twice. It was fine being all in one room both times. Once my youngest turned four they told me we could no longer do that (something about fire codes).

The rooms are quite crowded to put a crib in (although they will). Our little guy is thrilled to get to sleep in his sleeping bag--so we just did that and then shoved it under the bed when he was awake.

Well, lets say a person were to book a room at Pop Century and tell CRO only four people would be in the room when actually five would be in the room. What types of problems would the person run into when five length of stay passes are requested for purchase when only four are supposed to be in the room????

Your kids are still too young to be having two rooms. I would think that the 3 year old could be in a crib or extra bed? Have you asked them about that?

Length of stay passes are only available to registered Disney Resort guests. You would have to purchase one of the park hoppers for someone in the group. Separate ticket media is required for everyone over the age of 2.

A five day park hopper is 216 for someone ages 3 to 9. It allows for one day of Admission to one Water Park, Wide World of Sports, or Pleasure Island. It also does not include Disney Quest Admission as the length of stay ticket does.

As a note about Fire Codes, I would hope that everyone takes these seriously. One of the big reasons there are occupancy rules is to prevent some of the disasters like those at the nightclubs in New Jersey and Chicago earlier this year. It also helps Disney Staff to determine if everyone is accounted for is their is some sort of Emergency situation. Finally, if an emergency should happen, and someone from your party were injured, it would be hard to prove since "officially" that person was not staying in the resort.

While you are correct, when the choice is disobeying fire codes or paying for another room for a single person, I think most sane people would disobey the fire codes.

True, I understand that and a lot of people do. I just hope no one acts suprised and ticked off if it is pointed out to them they are violating not just Disney Policy but State and or Federal Safety regulations.

It would be so much easier in this case to go to a moderate resort if they indeed allow 5 peope per room. The difference in price for 5 nights is going to be close to the cost of the park Hopper anyway.

It's difficult being straight up with any reservations that we make. Usually four kids are with us and we're not going to get another room and havent' been able to afford a suite/multi bedroom condo. So we haven't gone anywhere in a long time.
For one nite out, there will be kids in sleeping bags (at least one is a Jr. firefighter:animwink: )
