Okay so its been about 10 yrs+ since I have been there and a lot has changed since then. I have been trying to come up with the perfect place to do something special for my guy.

a bit more info. please?

I think that we will all be able to be of more assistance if you can tell us more about what the two of you like. In my opinion, World Showcase has the most 'romantic places', but MK and AK have their share too - as do most of the Deluxe resorts.

Are there any spots, attractions or themes that have special meaning for either of you? Have you taken any trips together to any of the countries represented in World Showcase?

Also - don't just think location, also think about times/events. I proposed during the part of Illuminations that always makes my wife cry with joy - so the timing was more important than the location ...

so - give us some 'hints' about your tastes, then the suggestions will follow ...

P.S. I just saw that your next visit will be to Port Orleans Riverside - there is a pretty spot on a wooden bridge there that may qualify as 'romantic', and you would almost certainly have more privacy than at many spots in the parks ...

I think the Cinderella Fountain in Fantasyland would be very fitting for that gift. Several people have proposed there as well.

I never find the parks to be that romantic at times :( I'm one who prefers the resorts when it comes to these things. I remember strolling on the Boardwak with ice cream and feeding the ducks as Illuminations peaked over the trees with music in the backround. I remember walking around the Polynesian with our toes in the sand as the sun was setting.

Don't get me wrong, you'll find some very quiet and even romantic locations in the parks... but it just wasn't our thing. We wanted to relax and soak in the moment and not be involved in the hustle and bustle of the parks. It's nice to just sit on the beach together and talk... even in a place like Disney. Again though, thats us.

Yes there is an Italy pavilion.

If you head to the World Showcase in the early afternoon, it will be FAR less crowded than if you were there at night. I have many a picture of WS pavilions with nobody else in the picture. The thing is, loads of people start to crash WS in the late afternoon, and by night fall, as people begin to grab a spot for Illuminations, it will be swamped.

So ... my point is ... The WS can be very romantic ... if you want to have a chance to be in a far less crowded Italy pavilion, be there early
