With my honeymoon almost exactly 1 year away, I have been thinking of romantic things my Fiance and I can do around the world.

Lets share some of your most romantic moments, places and thing around Walt Disney World!

Laying in a hammock at the Poly at sunset :) I did that on Valentine's Day a couple years ago with my then girlfriend. She thought it was very romantic.

The beach at Beach Club is also nice at sunset.

Gotta say, watching the fireworks from the beach at the Poly was a solid experience. Of course, I was with my friend Erica, but we joked the whole trip that it was a very romantic date! If you can resist being in MK for Wishes, I'd encourage you to hit the beach.. but bring a blanket! That sand gets everywhere.

a few ideas ...

the Contemporary's terrace outside of California Grill for Wishes during / after a romantic meal (but don't get too carried away like the couple in the stairwell area :lookaroun);

walking around the savannas at night at Animal Kingdom Lodge, preferably after some great wine at Jiko and/or Victoria Falls, with a stop in the rocking chairs by the outdoor fire pit;

The Grand Floridian grounds (again, at night), preferably after dinner at Victoria & Albert's (itself a very romantic experience);

an arm-in-arm walk around the Boardwalk;

a flute of champagne by the fountain in France;

a walk around World Showcase well after Illuminations has ended, and the crowds have gone - but the lovely post-show music is still playing;

I have tons more, but need to save a few for my next special guest (whoever that might be).

I love Sloan's ideas!!! I was going to suggest a nice meal...we have celebrated our anniversary at Cali Grill and it was a great experience!

As for other good romantic ideas, strolling around World Showcase is our personal favorite...we are annual passholders and enjoy the parks regularly, but our favorite "romantic" thing to do is to walk around WS at night, enjoying a few drinks and just talking. We usually get beers from the little carts and just walk around and around...most of the time we don't even stop to do much--it's just such great atmosphere!!

Have fun!!!!

I agree totally with the terrace at California grill and the World showcase after Illuminations great spots.

As other stated the beach at the Poly during wishes is also great

I got proposed to by my boyfriend in Feb of 08. I had NO idea it was coming and it was so amazing! It was the most wonderful thing that could have happened to me in my favorite place in the entire world. I would definitely reccommend seeing Wishes if they are doing it the time of your trip. It is the best firework show I have ever seen! It is fun to watch and romantic at the same time. The Boardwalk is a romantic place as well as The Grand Floridian and California Grill on top of Disney's Contemporary Resort (you have a PERFECT view of the castle from there). Good luck and congrats! :sohappy:
