My husband and I will be staying at POR(Dixie Landings) when we go Sept. 25-29. We stayed at AKL when we went for a week in Dec. It was cool.:sohappy:
I think it would be neat to get together with some of the WDWmagic members. We can all ride a ride or go meet Mickey together!!!:slurp:

BAD NEWS!
As I said in an earlier post, I'll be there in September. Specifically, we will be in the parks Sept. 15-19. I just found out some very bad news.
There will not be a presentation of Fantasy in the Sky or Spectromagic the whole time we are down!
The price of going in the (supposedly) less crowded off-season, I guess.

Yeah, I discovered that this weekend too. I sit down to make our scedule of events for our stay and that's when I discovered that! It's terrible, because I think I would have scheduled our stay a little different if I'd known that some things weren't going to be at certain times during September. But since I've never been to WDW and this is my first adventure, I'm just discovering things. Oh Well! I'm sure we will have plenty of other things to do!

We were there in Sept a couple years ago and no Fantasy in the Sky was scheduled. Then on Friday, at the last minute, we heard from someone on one of the buses that they had decided to keep the MK open for an extra 2 hours and do the fireworks.
So we went to MK, and they did, and it was great. So while you're there, keep checking for updates. You may get to see them.

Oh, "Good News".....
I'll be praying for just that!!! Wouldn't that be wonderful?!!!! It's just that, in all the pictures that I've seen of WDW, the first image that comes to my mind when WDW is mentioned, is the Fireworks over the Castle. I don't think it would be the same if I couldn't see that in real life as I have imagined it to be from the pictures. Oh, I pray that it happens!!! Thanks for the uplift in spirits! I'll be sure to keep an eye for the updates!! :sohappy:

If one of the days you are going to be there is a saturday there should be a presentation of both spectromagic and fantasy in the sky on a saturday but that seems to be the only day of the week that do it in the fall.

Thanks so much, ConH, for getting us so organized! I wish someone else was going to be at Fort Wilderness when we are...Sept. 1-7.
I'm counting the days, and we have PS for the new princess breakfast! I have two little girls that will REALLY love it, I hope.

As far as I can figure out at this time, is that Spectromagic will only be 9/14/02, 9/21/02 and 9/28/02. Fantasy in the Sky will only be 9/01/02, 9/14/02, 9/21/02 and 9/28/02.
Unfortunatley, my family and I will only be at WDW from 9/06/02 to 09/10/02 which means that we will miss both of them.
It's just not fair!!!!

Yeah, the Villian's meal was good, but my favorite is the Crystal Palace, but they are renovating that when I go down.Originally posted by ConNH

Hello, all! First post from a long-time lurker... so thanks to all of you for some great advice.
My family and I will be down in September as well.
One night (9/21) at the All-Star Movies (it was a bonus night, thanks to Continental Airlines)...
And then, from 9/22 through 9/27, we will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
First time for both!
And I, too, am praying for some sort of E-ride Night... I'm not bringing my in-laws along so I can spend the day with them... I'm bringing them to babysit so I can go on some rides!
