This thread may end quickly...so be it. My kids have a disney sing a-long tape that shows a lot of Roger Rabbit. The tape looks to be shot at Disneyland. Is there a Roger Rabbit at WDW? I did not realize he was disney to begin with. Also, does Jessica Rabbit may an appearance:lookaroun

I haven't seen Roger Rabbit around WDW for a long time... not sure is he ever even appears there. He still appears regularly at Disneyland in the Parade of the Stars.

And no, sorry, no Jessica Rabbit that I know of.

I believe Roger Rabbit does appear at WDW, but only in parades. Roger Rabbit is a Disney property, however they share the rights with AMblin Entertainment (steven speilberg's old company).

Roger Rabbit has a ride at Disneyland called Roger Rabbit's Car-toon Spin.

However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything else Roger Rabbit-y because Disney and Amblin have had some conflicts, and
Steven Speilberg won't sign off on anything else Disney makes with him in it.

As for merchandiseThere were some beanies of Roger and his friend Benny the Cab released a couple years ago, but thats about it.

Roger's actually wholly owned by Amblin, with Disney, Universal, and Warner Bros entitled to licensing rights.

Roger Rabbit was around in the late 80's to the early 90's, but he's not at DL anymore. His ride is still there...but Jessica Rabbit has made NO appearances.

Really? I'm pretty sure I have video of him in Parade of the Stars from Sept.

I don't know about the Parades, but he doesn't do greetings or anything.

Oh, no, he doesn't do meet and greets. But I just checked my tape and he is indeed still in Parade of the Stars, in the finale unit.

Isn't Roger Rabbit also at the end of Fantasmic, on Steamboat Willie?

Maybe there's a brief scene from the movie in the Great Movie Ride finale?

Is the Stars and Motorcars parade still going at MGM? Is Roger in that one?

Murphy is correct. The big Jessica Rabbit lit-up sign is still over the West End entrance to Pleasure Island

There is a Roger Rabbit reference in MGM that is probably still around. If you look above the Hollywood and Dine restaurant, you can see a window for the office of Valiant and Valiant, with Roger's outline in the blinds (movie reference)

Any other ideas?

I'm just guessing that now and then they could throw Roger into the "final jumble" of characters they have at the end of parades, or on the Steamboat in Fantasmic.

Technically, they probably shouldn't be doing that without Amblin's approval, but no one would probably notice, and I doubt they'd even care, as they are such subtle references to the characters.

You won't see Disney doing too much with the characters from Roger Rabbit, sadly :( ...

However, Benny the Cab made a very brief apperance in Disney's "House of Mouse".

Does anyone have a pic of the Jessica light up sign? If not, could one of the regulars maybe take a snapshot for a big fan?

Whenever you're there, that is. ;)

the valient and valient (sp?) window is still there, i was shown it on my tour when i started the college program a few years ago, and it was still there this summer (for those who don't know about it, go over by echo lake, and look above the peavys pipeline, cola slushy stand)

as for merchandise, if any of you are pin collectors disney has put out dozens of roger rabbit pins (including ones of jessica rabbit, baby herman, benny, roger, even some of the weasles and the club bouncer pins have showed up though they may not be official releases by disney)
-and for you non pin traders: the roger rabbit patty cake club (?) shirt has been spoted several times i believe at the world of disney store at downtown disney, its a black bowler style shirt, very nice. (my friend has it)

they had a few pictures of roger up in the cast member areas at disney-mgm with other pictures of retired characters like the ninja turtles (not sure if they still do)

my recording of spectromagic has roger rabbit in the part where the genie is now, he definately got replaced by the genie.

Didn't Disney Studios have the "DIP Truck" in the building that used to have Goosebumps Fright Walk or something?? I remember seeing it there but I don't think it's there anymore, I can't even find the building.

And here I thought this would be a 1 or 2 response thread. So I gather that Roger is not 'around' very much in the parks and that Jessica has been relegated to a cartoon retirement home. I guess that I was suprised to ever see Roger in a Disney theme park because a lot of the other characters sharing screen time are from Looney Toons which I thought was a six flags type of thing.
