Roger Clemens Joke

Here's a joke I wrote last nite. Tell me what you think.

Did you hear about “The Rocket”, Roger Clemens? He came out of his 78-day retirement and signed a 1 year $5 million contract to play baseball for Houston. The Astros organization also gave him extra perks in the contract. For example he can earn another 1.4 million based on attendance at the games and when he’s not scheduled to pitch he can take off to see his son play baseball.

I'm telling ya, everyone in Houston, from the team owner to the fans are excited about this. They all believe that Houston will blast its way to the World Series now that they have a Rocket strapped to their Astros.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to get back into writing jokes. I used to write some when I was in a comedy troupe while stationed in Japan. It's like anything else, the more you do it the easier it is, but when you haven't done it in a while it's kinda hard to get going again.

I also have to get caught up on my current events. So now I'm spending more time reading & watching the news. So I guess that's not such a bad thing.

Good joke, yet oh-so sad for us Yankees fans! Needless to say most of us are angry and bitter, but hey we still have Mussina and Pettite... OH WAIT he's gone too,lol
