Rode the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the first time. Ride...eh. Technology...pretty cool.

We finally got on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train the other day. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I didn't think it was that great. The roller coaster part wasn't that good, and the inside slow dark ride part was ok, but still was a bit less than what I was expecting.

Visually, it's great, the ride vehicles, the line, the cottage, etc.

And the picture technology was really cool. It makes perfect sense how it worked after thinking about it, but it really caught me by surprise that it just magically showed up on my memory maker pictures an hour or so later.

But to sum it up, no way would I wait more than 30 minutes at the most.

I loved the mine part but as for the roller coaster, it was a slight let down. Never understood why everyone screams on it, would of enjoyed it more if it was a fastpass but waiting over an hour in June heat was a huge disappointment.

If only it were longer. There could have been great scenes as the tree trunk scene with the dwarfs on it. Maybe they even could have had a scene in those scary woods with more evil queen time. Many people first expected the ride to be as the grizzly runaway mine train ride in hong Kong. I understand the fact that it didn't end up that way and still think that the present day ride is fine, it just could have been longer.

I agree. My take on the Fantasyland expansion has been in general, pretty to look at, not much substance. 7DMT is a nice but not great ride and I feel the same way about Little Mermaid. I have eaten at Be Our Guest and had a nice meal but having done it once I am ok with not having to do it again.

It's just fine for what it is. If it didn't have such a long line, I don't think it would be a letdown.

One more show scene would have done it a lot of good though, that's for sure.

I think it's a very good ride, but adding a second mine scene would have added a nice 30-60 sec to the ride, allowed for more time with hearing the songs and shown off the great tech some more.

It would be cool to have seen a very advanced snow white audio animatronic somewhere too. Maybe the scene where she sings after she was scared by the forest or where she with the song where she cleans with the animals.

First ride on this was Christmas Week and we used a FastPass. We absolutely all loved it. It was just really fun! We went on it several times more that week, all with FastPass.

Therefore the wait was under 10mins.

The length of the wait is directly proportional to your level of enjoyment. If we inititally waited an hour, we would have def been let down. But the short wait yielded a terrificly fun ride.

Went in October and got a Fast Pass for the ride (wait times literally were an upwards of 100-120 minutes an hour after park opening).

After only waiting ten minutes, I still don't feel the actual ride itself was that great. Being inside the mine was nostalgic and fun but the ride is no justification. It feels like it is a good ride for kids. That's about it.

It's a family coaster and wasn't intended to be a thrill ride. I mean, if you look at it before riding, see NO big hills or drops and then you ride it and are disappointed, I have to question your expectations as far as a thrill ride are concerned. It'd be like riding something enormous at Cedar Point and complaining that it was too fast or too intense- "Yeah, I was kinda surprised that is was so fast. Didn't see that coming."
It's a great themed little ride, suitable for most everybody.

They did a good job making it fun for the whole family.

They did a good job with the theming. It really is a beautiful ride.

It's obviously suffering from budget cuts. Even if you knew nothing about it before riding, you have a "That's it" reaction when it ends. The ending seems rushed. I don't think it tells the Snow White story very well either.

I think it should have been twice as long.

I wouldn't wait in line for it longer than 10 minutes. It was a fun little ride with emphasis on little. It was entirely too short.

It's a coaster- they are short rides. I prefer to think of it as an old school dark ride that is mostly outdoors and a little bit quick. It'll most likely be my granddaughter's first coaster.

I'll still wait longer for it than I will for Test Track. Wow, drive in a car, go kinda fast and experience the elements and some potholes/braking/swerving. Folks wait hours for that? I'll just never understand. At least 7DMT has a Disney classic touch. Would I wait more than 15 or 20 minutes for it? Not without aforementioned granddaughter.

Just rode it Saturday night. I thought the Animatronics were fabulous. I had a Fastpass and walked right on. I thought the coaster part was fun. Had I waited 90 min. in Standby, I probably would have had a different opinion of the coaster.

The ride length for 7DMT is about the same as the Matterhorn and the AAs are superior. And nobody seems to complain about the latter ride as being "too short" or "not worth the wait". Just sayin'.....
Agree, but the Matterhorn was built almost 60 years ago. This iteration of the Matterhorn should have been Splash Mountain Epic...not as long, but Splash Mountain is on a different planet.

It's sad the "new" Disney rides don't compare to the rides under Eisner. Say what you want about Eisner, but we got some epic rides under his watch. Iger's rides have been nothing more than checking the box of a completed attraction for a small budget. There is no epicness to the rides anymore.

Tower of Terror
Splash Mountain
Expedition Everest
Test Track
Mission Space - Incredible Concept and no expense spared
Animal Kingdom park

All we've gotten under Iger is a ho hum Fantasyland Expansion with a disappointing Little Mermaid ride and completely disappointing, budget cut Mine Train. He's also "planning" Avatarland (questionable) and Star Wars (hope it is awesome) and Disney Springs....should have been last on the list, but it gets more people to buy high margin retail.

Rant Over....so disappointing when you really put it on paper (or write it down on a forum).
