My wife and I really want to ride the RnRC but we are both afraid of heights and we do not ride the big thrill coasters. However we have ridden everist and really enjoyed it although that is about as "thrilled" as ae would like to be. So does anyone know the exact dimensions of RnRC drops ? I know splash mountain is about 55 feet and we really would not care for anyhting much higher than that. My wife is really concerned with the height of the "drops". What do you think? Should we ride?

If you're concerned about the "stomach-lifting-into-throat" effect of drops, there's nothing to fear on RRC... BUT. the feeling of being smashed into the back of your seat at takeoff is...intense. To someone like me, it's a brilliant intense, and i love it... to someone who isn't too keen on extreme coasters, then i'm not sure how it would be. But other than that, RRC is fairly mild... it loops several times, but it's over quickly.

RnRc is quite intense for Disney - as Mr Bill said there arn`t too many steep drops but there are inversions. And remember to hold your head against the headrest for launch!

If I can ride it anyone can. I hate heights. I just go on and pray for the best. It's a must do. My son was in DW in May and he loves roller coasters the bigger the better. He thought everest was worse than rrc.

If you don't have any problem with pulling "G's", the fear of heights shouldn't be a problem. The ride is in a dimly lit surroundings (mostly blacklit) and actually noticing elevation is almost non existant. If you have no motion sickness problems, then I would say go for it.

There are no drops on RnRC, but there are a few inversions and one big loop. The ride is fairly quick. I don't think it is scary. But it will also be your first time riding it, so you do not know what to expect. You will want to ride over and over again....TRUST! If you can do Everest, then you can def. go on RnRC....Everest has that pretty steep drop, that gives me butterflies everytime I go on. But EE is so much better than RnRC IMO. It is my fave ride in WDW. Have fun!

Like everyone else said, heights are not a problem on this ride. Not really any drops. It is completely different from Everest. Just be prepared to do a lot of twists and turns and be upside down quite a few times. And the take off on this ride is intense. All that said, I love it, and if you can handle all the loops, go for it! :)

Put a roof on this and you pretty much have it. Biggest "drop" is about 60ish feet I believe.

I'm not a big coaster fan either but I love Rock 'n Roller Coaster....I think because it's in the dark and I can't see the actual ride and what it does before it actually happens helps me.

Looking at the track, I know what a lot of people are saying. Of course there are "drops". There is no perception of drops because the ride operates at the same speed throughout. The drop feeling is attained by going slow, and then dropping at gravity/faster than gravity. There is none of that on this ride, just pure, unadultrated speed. Much like the loops in test track.

I am not big on heights either, but on our last trip, I rode everything, just so I could say I have. Everest is much more terrifying as far as height and drops go, IMO. I will probably never do that again, but am anxious to get back on RnR. I never felt like I was up too high, probably because of the dark, but it is superfast. I have never felt anything like that launch...even though my husband and daughter had warned me, I was not prepared. It is a blast, I say go for it!

I agree with everyone else. I also have a problem with heights and drops but I LOVE this ride!! It can't be overstated that this coaster is pure speed. The entire ride is very smooth, including the inversions. I think she should give it a try - it may become her favorite ride!

As someone who's deathly afraid of heights and actually chickened out of my first trip on RnRC, I can tell you honestly that you have nothing to fear!

During the ride, you certainly don't notice a "drop", though the loop is a different feeling altogether! :) It's also great that it's in the dark, because you have no idea what's coming next. And it's a fast enough ride that by the time I made it out the "chicken" exit, my friends were already off the ride!

If you think you're up to it, give it a try. It's my favorite, now!!

I do not like drops as well. I finally broke down and rode RnRC. There isn't any drops. It does go upside down and it is so smooth. I haven't ridden ToT because of the drops. You will be very surprised by RnRC.
