Rock N Rollercoaster

Hello-
I am going to WDW in two days and have been worrying about whether or not I should do rock n rollercoaster. I love space mountain and thunder mountain, basically any ride besides Everest. The thing about rnr that scares me is the loops, I’m not sure if the speed combined with the loops will be too much.

If you are prone to motion sickness/dizziness do NOT ride RnR.

Is your fear of Everest height or the backwards part? If the backwards part makes you woozy, RnR is worse.

If height, RnR is a very smooth (but fast!) coaster in the dark which is less intimidating than Everest.

As a opposit opinion I have Bad motion sickness / dizziness and RnR doesn’t bother me at all. It’s so smooth and fast you don’t feel the loops(your body doesn’t move and leave the seat in them). To me the worst part is the launch, as there are a few seconds my body is completely confused but they do count you down before it goes. But be prepared for pre ride anxiety as you watch group after group launch off lol.

It doesn’t have any major drops so if you hate those that may be nice. Plus the darkness doesn’t show you how high you are.

I prefer it to all the other coasters at Disney just because of the smoothness. Plus the theming is fun. I say it’s worth it to try anything once but i def understand the worry part.

Hope this helps some.

Have you done Everest or just seen it from the outside? Despite no major drops or loops, I consider Space Mountain rougher on the body than either Everest or RnRC.

To this day, I haven't ridden RnRC because of the loops. The scariest part is the going backwards in the dark but you never go upside down. I like Everest because it is smooth. It is for that reason I like it over SpM. I'll ride it from time to time but SpM is just too rough.

I don’t like loops either (Batman at Six Flags ruined them for me forever) but I have no problem on RnR - maybe being in the dark helps. Plus it is smooth and fun.
I'm the same way. I would never ride the Hulk at Universal, but I am ok with RNRC because it's in the dark and I mostly can't see the loops. I scream like a little girl, but it's definitely the most thrilling ride that I can handle and enjoy. The drops on Everest sicken me. Space is too rough for me to enjoy. I like BTMRR.

Depends on what type of motion sickness/dizziness you are prone to though. Motion sickness hits me on simulators. I can't ride them at all! I even get dizzy on Philharmagic when Donald is flying on the carpet!

But rollercoasters don't affect me at all. Crazy, right?

Same here. I have vertigo and can not walk the bridge on Tom Sawyer Island hardly, or stand on a pier or dock. Star Tours gets me a little if I look away, the tea cups no way but I LOVE rollercoasters and ToT. Ferris wheels terrify me. Go figure lol

Yup!
Simulators bother me too. Have to close my eyes during Donald’s carpet ride on Philharmagic! 😂

I have not gone on Everest because I really don’t like big drops and I don’t really get that dizzy on rides, I’ve never done mission space but that’s in its own league! But I’m just not sure if it will be too fast and too intense.
