That is another non-legit comparison because if one compares them the only thing they have in common is that the ride vehicle is on rails. In fact it is so different it is easily considered another genre. It would be more useful to compare RnRC to Test track. Some high speed some dark ride. RnRC is definitely a very Dark inside ride where 7DMT is 95% outside. RnRC can be terrifying with inversions, etc. and 7DMT is just fun and different plus they aren't in the same park.

RnRC tops 7DMT. When 7DMTwas announced it was highly hyped and we had anticipated a lot from it. Sadly it never lived up to its hype. I was very disappointed in it after my first ride.
It was a semi-coaster in Fantasyland, did you expect a high speed, gut wrenching thrill ride in a land that is really directed toward children? Snow White is not an adult theme. A coaster that made a switch half way through and became a dark ride. Unique at the time.

I saw all that hype and what I thought it would be was actually even better. The only thing they really hyped were the swinging ride vehicles and that was 100% of what we got.

To be fair, the swinging is often not even noticeable so I don't think it met the hype
That said I agree with you, this is not supposed to be an intense ride, it's a step up from the Goofy coaster, and well themed. Comparing it to the Rocknroller coaster is more of a question of do you like mild vs more intense.

You forgot to mention that like Space Mountain, it is completely in the dark but except for a few black light cardboard displays. It's hard to tell with either one whether or not there is something missing. Hell, they don't even have to clean up the inversion vomit on RnRC.

I think it is moving more than can be seen, but they never said it was going to swing very far, but it does quickly move and then goes back to neutral all faster than we can really see. I always felt it swing, but it was very brief. To me the only thing that does is push you further into the seat instead of sideways like Big Thunder does.

No where in my post did I say it was supposed to be a gut wrenching high thrill ride. It was hyped to be a very different type of coaster with a high action ride vehicle that would deliver a ride not seen before in Disney. This never was delivered. Coaster enthusiasts expected more and were left disappointed. Yes it’s not on the level of RnRC and doesn’t belong being compared at all. Yes it is based on a children’s story and is in Fantasyland but that doesn’t excuse Disneys massive hyping of what it was supposed to bring. Their massive hype as always is geared to make excitement and draw us in but when they don’t come close to delivering it is a massive let down.

I suppose that for you it was a let down and that is what comes with unreasonable expectations or the inability to recognize some of the things that it said it was going to do and then they did. For example, make it exciting. But, for whom? The adults or the kids? I fully expect an adult to be less than impressed with the amount of airtime or the theming. However, it was never intended to rock your adult boat. To the audience it was aimed at, it is indeed exciting and fun. As for the "deliver a ride not seen before in Disney, let me ask you this, what ride was in WDW that was a combination coaster and dark ride previously? It certainly was a different experience in MK. It had many drops and high speed corners to thrill the hell out of a pre-teen the very audience that Fantasyland is supposed to deliver too. No my friend the problem was not in the ride, it was in the inability for your inner child to engage. It still has massive lines and thousands of excited "children" of all ages riding it. Your thing is probably more like RnRC and that is entirely up to you, but a whole argument can be made about how lame that is to some.
