If memory serves me correctly, while you're in the back of the line, you'll just have to wait, but when you get within an earshot of the CM loading the cars, they'll yell out for a single person. Just raise your hand when this happens and they'll call you up.
This could be problematic if you're not very tall, so you might have to raise your hand and jump.
