Here's a rainbow. During the rain! On the bridge between Miramar, Condado, and Puerta de Tierra/Old San Juan. Not Puente Dos Hermanos, the other one.
This is facing towards Condado.

Tonemapped Panorama.
My gear landed in Puerto Rico! YAY!

MKT,
not only did you get a rainbow, but you got a DOUBLE rainbow. Look at the colors, they are reversed from the original rainbow.

I opened up the original (HUGE file) and you're right... I can't see it on my bitty lil' netbook I use regularly, but on the MBP at full res, it's there.

There's a creepy little face in my bathroom tile that looks at me while I'm doing my business.

Well guess what creepy little face. I got you know! I have captured your essence and I will shred the file, after backing it up and uploading a copy to flickr.

Auto levels + HDR.
My baby's back! For a day or two. Then it's on loan for a week to the only person I'd loan it to. While he goes to Cuba and I stay home. Boo!

This may be a stupid question....but

Why do some panoramic shots seem to curve straight lines in the middle and others don't ?

I am not too familiar with any theory behind panoramic photography... I just see something I like and photograph it. I think it's a combination of the technique used (physically moving the camera/tripod vs. photographing from a tripod and rotating/tilting the head), the elements in the foreground and background of the image, and how it's cropped.

If I had cropped the rainbow pic to be shorter and wider, it would have looked like it had more straight lines as opposed to how I left it, with the huge dip in the center.

This is an old one.... well not really old. It's from this past summer. Since my camera is on vacation to Cuba for a week with the only person I'd loan gear to. In turn, I get an olive green Fidel cap... yay!

Anywho... this was taken during my commute. I normally park at the Torrimar train station and take the train to work, but this day the Torrimar station was full and I had to drive another mile down to the Martinez-Nadal station with its huge parking lot.

I saw the sky... I had a camera. You do the rest.

It was a lovely day at the beach. Wait, it wasn't... I was working all day. It stinks too, cause I was in a recording studio all day and would have loved to have taken some shots of all the gear lit up. However, I still was miserable since it's Saturday, and I'm working. This is another one from the archive, taken a few weeks ago, while my toys are on vacation.

This is the neighborhood I grew up in. It was a rough childhood.

So were you raised in the condos on the right or the condos on the left?
lol... those are hotels.

I was raised literally in the Condos across the street from the hotel on the left.

Another one from the "I want my camera back!" collection.

Rocks at Condado Beach... a nice day, when clouds started to appear.

I pass this building every single day on my walk from the train station to the office, and every day I am tempted to venture into this building and see what lies in its walls... curious of what it once was. However, the pungent smell of bodily fluids that radiates from the building, and my fear of getting shot if I walk into someone's "home" have kept me away. Mostly the bodily fluid smell.

Anyway, without windows or doors, it's easy to photograph inside. Check it out... indoor advertising!

Ron Castillo... among the cheaper awesome local rums (when you live in the worlds #1 rum producer, even the cheap rums rock). Saw this right across the street from a school, which made me wonder... either a teacher is having a helluva day, or a student is having a helluva test day.

Either way. it was a sign of the way things are in PR at the moment. Unemployment on the rise, an unpopular wave of government backed puritanism (not literally) is taking hold, and mass layoffs are contributing to people drinking more during odd times.
