RnR Singles in the works?

Hi all. I just got back from my annual pilgrimage to WDW. Everything was great (wow for Everest). :D

I noticed on Friday at RnR a CM with a large amount of what appeared to be single rider tickets similar to those used at everest. After contemplating the possibility, I noticed an unused space on the RnR sign (to the immediate right of the FP distribrution). Why not? The limo train is set up just like EE (although the last part of the queue would be difficult to figure out).

Don't butcher me. I'm just telling you what I saw and noticed.

Do they even use SM's single option? I thought that was only a test. Of course, I would not know because I never go during peak seasons.

No they don't use it right now. I did go through part of the queue that would have been used for the single rider once, when I got to reride Space Mountain, after it brokedown while I was riding. A CM led us through the normal exit ramp, and then up the "chicken exit" hallway (going the wrong way according to the signs). There were only four of us in my group that were taking advantage of the reride, so we were not there for more than a few seconds (so not much chance to look around).

I think that Space Mountain could benefit from single rider. Every time I have ridden, there have almost always been one or two empty seats in the rocket which were never filled.

As opposed to everest, sm single rider line got you on pretty quickly. Id wish they kept it.
I waited no more than 5 minutes in the singles line on Friday. The stand-by was around 60 mins.

I don't see how single-rider would work at RnRC.
Unlike Everest, the FP and standby are joined before you ever go into the building. Sure, single-rider would maybe get you into the building quickly...but from there it would be the same wait as the others.

Yeah, I cannot see them putting in a single riders line without a little refiguring of the queue. The single queue would need a separation from the rest of the line after the preshow in the alley.;)

They had people come up through the exit completely seperate from everyone else for SR on the Rocket Rods (Motto: Almost fun, but very nearly pointless), so something like that may work. We got an instant re-ride once on RnRC, so I know there is a door from the exit area up to load, but don't recall the amount of space there was. I can't stand seeing coasters with empty seats.

Cheers.

Yeah...this would be feasible. I don't recall any actual safety announcements in the preshow, so they could just let single riders bypass it.

I've made use of the single riders line at TT for several years, but we were always directed to one of the pre-show rooms. How did you get into the interior queue without going thru the pre-show?

But they do it on Test Track all the time. The infamous purple pass lets you bypass the preshow.

I don't know what you mean by "Purple Pass," but I know that the single riders go through the preshow (room 1 is the designated for the singles, at least it currently is).

There are re-ride passes for when TT breaks down that let you board from the exit area (notice that queue set up when you are leaving?). I don't really consider that ruining story though--you already got the story; the ride just broke down so you get to experience the thrill portion again. As for ruining the story on RnRC...for the majority of guests who have ridden it in the last 7 years that it's been open, it would be nice to bypass the queue line.

One way that I could see them doing a singles line at RnRC would be to load the pre-show studio so that one level is regular riders, and the other level is single riders. Then do some re-configuration of the queue in the hallway leaving the studio and out into and alley to keep the two sections separate right up until the seat assignments. Or, perhaps do a combo... Where they fill the pre-show studio with regular riders on some cycles, and then use one half for an entire group of single riders for other cycles as needed, and somehow gates or doors or chains are used to route the people in the proper way.
