Hey --

What do you mean? Adult entertainment has always done well with the help of some Disney magic! Remember the first adult theme park DCA? A HIT! The adult zone of pleasure island -- no need to have changed up anything there -- its a bona-fide success.

I know you are just being sarcastic, but if we are going to get technical EPCOT Center was the first "adult theme park." And though it has changed some (by adding figment and characters into the park), it is still a primarily adult experience. I would have to say that Epcot is doing fine with its older market.

Pleasure Island was the rage in Orlando for around its first ten years. Personally, that is pretty good for clubs. Most clubs lose their appeal sooner than that. If Pleasure Island would have continued to reinvent itself, it would still be a success.

Disney is about entertainment, and the company should continue to explore different ways of entertaining its guest. If they would not have done this, we would have only seen the Magic Kingdom, and would not have great rides like Rockin' Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, or the great dining experiences sprinkled throughout the property.

Nothing? They get your drinks and carry away your dishes! Not much different than a server in any other restaurant ~ and only at 10%. That will be cheap compared ot the auto 18% gratuity taking effect next week for DDE members.

What dpunky said. It's still a food court. There's no need to have someone get drinks and pick up dishes at a food court.

If Pepper's Market was a full service restaurant, then I can justify the wait staff giving you drinks and taking your dishes away. But for counter service where you have to get up and get your own dishes, no way! Not worth the extra money that you spend on food to pay for the extra wait staff. The food is not that more superior to what I see in the counter service in parks. I'd say cut the prices of food in the market, elminate the automatic gratuity and get rid of the wait staff. I can get my own drinks and throw my own food in the trash can. I see no problems with this system in the park and in the other food courts. However, I still see people at the parks and other food courts that just leave leave their trash on the table expecting someone else to pick it up when there is a trash can less than a foot away. That's just plain laziness.

Then i would love to know where you go, counter service in the parks has been lacking and i thought they were turning the croner with tusker house. Then they take that away from people who just want to have a good meal and throw in characters!! Pepper market's food is really much better than most places. The variety great and its pretty much all made right in front of you.

It's a food court! Yeah, there are added stuff like rotiserrie/baked chicken (which did not look appetizing when it looked like it sat there for so many hours), quesadillas, etc. But c'mon, this is just food court stuff that you can get in any food court, just with a few extra stuff thrown in. Why all the added gratuity for people to get you drinks in a regular fountain soda cup. When I saw the service at Pepper's Market I wasn't awed that there were servers serving me soda then politely telling me to go and get my own food. I looked at the prices and thought that I can get the same burger with drink for less at the parks, and even in the other food courts like pop century. Quoting the price, as indicated in AllEars.net:
Cheeseburger w/Fries
Pop Century - $5.89
Cheeseburger or Hamburger with French Fries- $8.25 (The price that I remember was actually $9.25)

We are talking about the same burger and fries cooked the same way, nothing special. I'd rather save the $2-$3 dollars than pay people to get my drink.

And why would I pay $11.75 for Spicy Chicken Kung Bao (without drink) which is the same quality that I get in Panda Express (which I think is $6.95 for this and a drink at their locations)

Sure that's your opinion and you're entitled to it but i have to disagree. It is defnitely metter than any of the offerings at the moderates and a very good alternative to eating out at the parks.
