Riverside to Poly

Depending on what time your character breakfast is, there is a character breakfast bus that picks up at the resort. Check with Guest Relations when you get there. If the meal is during park hours go the MK and then transfer there.

Get to TTC

The polynesian is a 2 minute walk from the TTC. I don't remember if there is direct bus there or not. The best, but probably not the quickest is to go to MK and take the boat or monorail. It is the second stop on both (after Grand Floridian).

As a side note, it's a great character breakfast. Last time we stayed at Poly we went (with no reservations) and it was great food. Family style waffles, eggs, and fresh fruit. ENJOY~!~!

When at a character meal, you don't see the characters, they see you. It is very organized. Each character at the meal will make a stop at your table for pictures and autographs. It is "TTC" not "TCC" and stands for Transportation and Ticket Center. Also depending on your breakfast time you might want to consider a cab. We used a taxi for an early 1900 Park Faire character breakfast when staying at POFQ. (We were in a time crunch and the character as some people did not get ready quick enough. Teenagers!)

I would take the bus to the TTC, and then board the resort monorail, the Poly is the first stop after the TTC. That would be the fastest depending on what time you are planning breakfast. If you get on the monorail, you get off @ the Poly on the second floor walk down the walk way into the hotel and the Ohana breakfast is in the back on the left. It is very easy to get to. If you walk from the TTC is takes a little longer and you have to walk through the hotel to the back and either walk up the stairs or ride the elevator.

Hope any of this info helps.:)

I know people were saying to take the bus to the TTC...but resort busses don't go to the TTC they go to the MK. The buses that run to the TTC are theme park to theme park busses, shades of green, Hotel Plaza, and the off site charters.

The fastest way is to take the resort bus labeled "Magic Kingdom". If you board prior to park opening, let the driver know that you're going to a character breakfast (in this case, it would be Ohana), and they should drop you directly at the Polynesian Resort. Keep in mind that absolutely no busses go to the Transportation and Ticket Center from your resort (or any other Disney resort, with one exception), so it is not a factor.

After park opening, board the same bus and proceed to the Magic Kingdom (the bus will not stop at the Polynesian once the park(s) are open), then transfer to watercraft or monorail at that point. The faster of the two is the monorail.

I've posted these guidelines before, and they bare repeating:

  • Arrive 60 minutes at the designated bus loading zone prior to your reservation time. Fort Wildnerss guests (only) should arrive 45 minutes prior to their seating time. (Bus service is variable, and may start earlier than "posted" times)
  • Guests traveling to the Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary Resorts should proceed to the Magic Kingdom load zone and board the Magic Kingdom bus. Monorail transportation is also available beginning at 7:00 am.
  • Guest traveling to the Beach Club may proceed to the Disney's Hollywood Studios load zone and load this bus.
  • After park opening, please use normal routes to make your reservation time.
  • All guests should inform their bus driver that they headed to a character breakfast. In most cases, you will be dropped off directly at the resort where your breakfast take place.

Also, keep in mind, if you do not have a reservation, you may have to wait for a seating. Ohana rarely has immediate walk-in availability- in the mornings, they run about 20 min. - 45 min. wait average. It is worth investigating if you can make a reservation- you can cancel them at anytime if you are unable to make the reservation time, and Disney won't charge you for them. For reservations, call 1-407-WDW-DINE or contact your travel agent.
