Riverside bus routes

In what order do the buses at POR stop at the various bus depots? I have heard that South Depot is last. Does that mean West Depot is first?

Also, any preferences between staying at the mansions or at Alligator Bayou?

Thanks for your help.

It's actually a crap-shot with the buses there. When arriving or returning to the resort, the buses either stop at the River Delta or Blue Bayou Platforms by the General Store/Front Desk ending at the South Depot or at the West Depot and then finish at the Platforms, working their way around clockwise.
As for Alligator Bayou or Magnolia Bend, we prefer Magnolia Bend as oppose to the hidden-by-vegatation buildings of Alligator Bayou. Some buildings in Alligator Bayou are close to the food court but some are a WALK. The scenery over by the Mansions of Magnolia is nicer with the canal and a bridge walk to the Fishin Hole (Main Pool) and another to the food court. We just stayed at Magnolia last December and the refurbished rooms were very nice.

If I am not mistaken it will start at French Quarter then it will stop at the River Delta/Blue Bayou (lobby) and then make a clockwise loop around the resort making West , North and East the next stops.

I personally like the rustic/natural feel of Alligator Bayou to the formal/manicured feel of the mansions.

Depends on the park depots. Some have French Quarter and Riverside as one depot to return to the resort. If so, then yes, French Quarter then either the River Delta/Blue Bayou (lobby) or West Depot first.

The order depends on the park that the bus is coming to/from. I wish I could remember the order off the top on my head, but memory fails.

There are routes where the Main (South Depot) is LAST, which can be a downer in the morning and confusing to those not in the know.

With the last trip we were in Oak Manor (bldg 90) and right next to the East Depot, which is next to bldg 85.

The trip before that we were in the Mansion closest to Alligator Bayou (Magnolia Terrace) and there was the North Depot right next to that.

The Wife and I prefer the location of buildings 80-85-90 to the Bayou buildings. It seems almost that the Bayou buildings are most convenient if you have a car.

My best suggestion would be to search for the Port Orleans Riverside Map on msn or whatever and look at it yourself. Some of the buildings really look like they are a hike from the main complex. That's a big concern for us because we use the main building a lot while we are there.

I would stay away from bldg #95...Parterre Place. It's the closest to FQ and can be a pain in the but..or legs rather..to stay there. I know, we got stuck there a couple of times.

Some of this may not seem like a big deal until you forget something in the room right before you head to the park and have to get that camera, toy, diaper bag or whatever by running both ways. I've done that. Not fun.
