Rivers of Light without Fastpass+

So we will be attempting to see the show March 21st or 23rd. Due to already scheduling fastpasses in other parks, I'm wondering how difficult it will be to get seats doing standby. I have not seen the seating area built for the show and read it holds close to 6000 guests. I'm wondering if its a lost cause without having fastpasses? Or maybe we could schedule fastpasses for ROL the day of?

I am also wondering this, we will be there on March 2nd and my aunt is in a wheelchair. Are there special areas for guests in wheelchairs or should I try to get a FP+ the day of?

My understanding is that each show will have 2500 seats reserved for FP, 2500 seats reserved for dining packages, and then the last 1000 for standby. So I'm guessing that standby isn't the way to go.

Agree especially now they it's brand new. That's very few standby seats so I would not chance it and would do a dining package or FP unless you want to wait in line for a long time and maybe not even get in. ;)

So how does the dining packages work? Do they give a paper voucher when you go to eat, or does it get linked to the magic band?

That'd be kinda nice, if by some odd chance someone (ehem read as the kid) isn't feeling well we could at least give em to someone and not go to waste.

Well I went opening night to 8:30 showing I just want to point out I waited about 1-1.5hrs for standby and got great seats... they actually didn't pack the seating completely full at all. TBH it seems the seating for the early standby gets better viewing areas also.

I have video of it on my youtube page I can link sortve showing where I sat

Have they decide which restaurants they are using for the dining package? I really want to dine at Tiffins and hoping it will be part of the package.

Tiffins and Tusker House are the current options for ROL dining packages.

We've eaten at Tiffins twice and both meals were fabulous. Great food, top notch service, and fantastic themed but classy atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

I looked at Disney's website and the week I'm there 3/19 - 24 ROL is only on Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday nights. I thought this was suppose to run every night. We set our FP+ back in January and have tried two switch them around but no luck. We have FP+ for Frozen on Sunday at 5:00 so no one in the group wants to change that around. Now we are trying to figure out dining reservations and how to get to AK in time to get a seat. Does anyone know how much of the show you can see if you don't get a seat?
