I agree about what others said about River Country being the best. It was not as big or had as many exciting things as the newer parks but it was a nice place to go as a family.

Discovery Island use to be Treasure Island before it became Discovery Island and as mentioned is now closed. If you rent a boat and go by it you can see there is still stuff out there like the nets that would keep the birds in as well as the dock and there is a shipwreck on one side.

We used to stay in ft wilderness so that we would have easy access to river country. At the time it was the best (and only) water park in Disney.
Both me and my father used to love going there and my sis and mother would have to drag both of us out.

Good times.

River Country was a blast, but I feel that Disney sort of created its own competition when it opend Typhoon Lagoon. Once TL opened with its white sandy beaches and clean clear water, no one would have wanted to swim in old swimming hole like River Country... save me and few others who learned how to swim in those murky waters.

I agree, then they opened BB, I know they are both different, but we usually just go to one water park when we are down there.

I used to love the swingin branch that when exrended out you could just fall into the water. That place was pretty fun, I don't know about the best but pretty close.
