Taking the wife and 8 year old girl to Orlando 28-31 August and going to hit up Sea World for 1 day. My 8 year old is a daredevil and loves roller coasters. Just had a question on the 2 coasters there and Atlantis ride. How wet do you get on Atlantis.....I don't mind getting wet, just not soaked. As far as the coasters go, how aggressive are they compared to WDW Rock-n-Roller Coaster and other coasters similiar to that?

Both coasters are much longer and "wilder" than Rock-n-Roller Coaster, and are great fun. As far as Atlantis goes, I usually get soaked on it, which is why I don't ride it very often. I'm sure you can find some videos on YouTube about each of the rides. Have fun - I love SW!

Ride Atlantis in the back...you shouldn't get more wet than you would on a log flume...fronts a different story.

Manta is intense yet so smooth...Kraken has seven inversions, but also a fun smooth ride.

All three are top notch

Atlantis is like a log flume. You'll get wet but it will feel good on a hot day. Rock n roller coaster doesn't even compare to sea worlds coasters. They're in a different league. Your daughter will love them. Much smoother, faster, higher and intense.

How do I love Sea World? Let me count the ways...

Oh, wait, coasters! They're real coasters and not the short, less thrilling, Disney-type coasters.

Kraken is my personal favorite, though Manta is a very fun ride and a wee bit smoother. You can get wet on Atlantis! I don't really consider it a coaster.

Sea World has a few fantastic rides, but it isn't a ride park, which I'm sure you know if you did your homework. It's also very pretty in many places. :)

Have fun!!

Given that Rockin' has a LIM launch and multiple inversions, I'm not sure I'd categorize either Manta or Krakan as more aggressive than Rockin' Rollercoaster, but they're both better coasters, if that helps.

Atlantis is a bit of a disappointment, though. I don't remember getting any wetter on that than on Splash Mountain.

Actually Rockin' has only 3 "loops". only one of which is an inversion, the other 2 being corkscrews. I love all 3, but Rocking is 3rd on my list to Manta and Kraken.

My apologies - I'm no roller coaster authority - I just considered an inversion to be one of those circular loop -type things. I stand corrected.
