Rider Swap on Rise of the Resistance

Hey all. For any parents planning to ride rise of the resistance and wondering how rider swap works with the virtual queue and boarding groups, I wrote up our experience last week. It was easy peasy. Keep in mind the afternoon boarding group time changes tomorrow to 1pm I believe. Don’t quote me on it. Keep an eye on whatever they say the times are when you are there.

It’s just good to know rider swap works the same on this ride as others basically.

Thanks for the info! We have only used rider swap with FP+ and was wondering how it works without it. How long before your trip did your son turn 3? I am having a similar dilemma on whether to buy my then 3 year old daughter an AP for an upcoming trip.

Oy, what a debacle that was, did you see my post about not having an annual pass for him? I'm kind of ashamed, but it eased my mind that customer service specifically told me not to worry about it. I've had numerous moms tell me in the past to have him be "2" for as long as possible, but he is a very tall boy (over 40" when he turned 3, and solidly built lol) so I didn't think it would be a great idea to be deceptive. He turned 3 in July and we went on trips this year the week he turned 3, again a month later, and then again for a full week in December. The December one was the only one where we really started getting asked his age every time we entered the park. One lady gave me a stink look, but that was the extent of it. We will be buying him a pass for our next trip, whenever that may be.

I do think I heard that they are now being accommodating about making exceptions for new 3 year olds if people call in trying to buy annual passes. that is one area where they make one time exceptions now sometimes. I saw someone say that on facebook. who knows how accurate it is though.
