Ride restrictions with a broken arm?

My sister-in-law's friend is going to WDW this weekend, but one of the kids has a broken arm in a cast. She wanted to know if any of the rides or attractions had restrictions on broken arms or casts.

Obviously, the shows that walk-through attractions would not have any restrictions. Slow-moving rides like IASW or POTC should be OK too. My concerns would be with the roller coasters. Can you ride the coasters with a broken arm? I would think the over the shoulder restraints on Rock N Roller Coaster might prove a problem if the arm was in a sling.

Thanks!

I acually rode the RnR with a broken arm...cast, no sling. The shoulder harness felt fine but I couldn't hang on with my left hand and normally I'm white knuckled and hanging on for dear life.

It was actually the best time I rode it because it was doubly scary!

I think the sling would be a hinderance because my arm was able to go on the outside of the harness as normal but with a sling it would be pressed tight to the chest and may not fit under the harness

all other rides were fine...can't think of a single problem I had. I got some characters to sign the cast (still have it) and they all made a big deal over my broken arm. I ended up getting more attention from cast members and characters with the cast on. :D

You can not ride RnRC with your arms underneath the shoulder harness (as they would in a sling), they must be on the outside and remain that way.

I don't think TOT would be a good idea for fear of knocking someone in the head with the cast! Maybe Primeval Whirl would be good to avoid because you have to hang on to the bar. Of course, unless it's a waterproof cast, should probably forgo Kali River Rapids and Splash Mountain!

I don't think you will have a problem.

I have ridden everything in the parks, and with the exception of the Teacups I have never had any difficulty. I have never been stopped from riding by a cast member. I have 2 prosthetic arms.

Most the rides at Disney are fairly tame. the Rock and Roller coaster being an exception. Even then you should be just fine. Have fun!
