I took a picture but it's not the best quality, it was late and they were hurrying us through the line but I managed to get one that's clear enough....what was this shark from?

Yes it is from the ride, wish they had a few more lined up

It's a damn shame they don't have any more lined up. Seeing this shark makes me wonder what else they have hidden behind the scenes at universal studios. For example what the hell happened to the giant apes from Kongfrontation??

That's what usually happens. You asked about the Kongs from Kongfrontation -- scrapped. The only thing that survived from that ride, as far as I know, were a few trams that got sold off.

Looks like they did a mashup of old Jaws sharks and other parts to put together the prop in the queue. That head matches the one in the water pic. Thanks for posting, saves me a trip through RUN tomorrow!
