Ride Opinion: Journey into Imagination

original was better, hands down. it actually had depth and storyline. while the other 2 versions attempted at a storyline, it was an obvious feeble attempt. the original was a visual overload (but very well done) whereas the 2 others are limited in visual appeal. the only thing that even comes close to the original is the upside down room. i think they really need to rename the ride...to me, it no longer has anything to do with imagination, but the 5 senses. no longer does it show us how our imaginations can expand. i feel like they're trying to teach us something that we should all already know (including our kids if they're school-aged)

pretty much, Bairstow has said what i'm wanting to say (and very well, might i add)

i've yet to see anyone say that one of the most recent 2 versions was better than the original...you'd think Disney would take a hint.

and why try to connect it with HISTA? how much longer can that show possibly stay there? it's like, what? the 3rd or 4th show in that building since Epcot opened? i really don't seeing it staying around for too much longer. i give it between 5-7 years tops.

I loved the original ride and I can't imagine another version living up to it,as cheesy as I know it was. I went on rehab #1 and absolutely hated it, hated it, hated it. Though I am the first to admit that I went on it very closed minded. I did NOT appreciate the "token Figments" that were put it. It seemed forced and I was not amused. Last time I went to Disney, rehab #2 bringing Figment back was scheduled to reopen the following month. I am going this Sept so I look forward to riding this one and I'm going to try and keep an open mind this time.

I liked the first ride but welcomed a change. The second version was horrible and a complete waste of money. The third version is better but still doesn't live up to the original. My twin daughters, age 9, love this ride. They say it's one of their favorites. The thing I miss most is the original image works that was upstairs. There was more creative things to do then just sending e-mails and stepping on musical tiles. Eventhough some of the exhibits may be a bit dated they would still be fun today.
