Ride of years past

To expand on the thread by @figmentfan423, what rides have you passed on in the past several trips? Could be any reason- too long of a wait, makes you sick, closed, it's current state of disrepair distresses you .....I am ashamed to say I haven't been in the HoP for years, I really want to see Obama. We just seem to blast past it every trip!

I have been to Disney a bunch of times since 1992. And I haven't been in the Hall of Presidents since 1993. Maybe we'll get in there when the kids are a little older and understand what/who the presidents are.

Since my very first trip to the MK in 1982 I've never been to Tom Sawyer's Island. I've never riden the Magic Carpet ride in Adventureland either ... just doesn't seem appropriate placed where it is:rolleyes:

In Epcot, we've been bypassing Ellen's Energy Adventure (can't remember what it was previously called) for 24 years (but look forward to checking it out next time). I haven't been inside an Innoventions building in just as long (again, something we plan on doing next time). We've never seen the Epcot World Showcase movies in Canada, France and China (typically in too much of a hurry or too tired), or the Lion King film in the Land Pavilion (saw it on Youtube and thought it would be a waste of time to take the family to see it).

In the Magic Kingdom, we'll NEVER do Stitch again (ugh, we were simultaneously bored out of our minds and completely disgusted). We've also never been on the Astro Orbiter (I'm the only one in the family who has any interest and the line is too long to bother).

In Hollywood Studios, we haven't seen Beauty and the Beast (we will next time) or the Lights, Motors, Action show (or Fantasmic, for that matter -- too far past the kids' bedtime if we want to be up for rope drop the next day). We may do Fantasmic next time. We've bypassed the Art of Animation since 2005 because it didn't impress us the first time around.

In the Animal Kingdom, we haven't seen It's Tough to Be a Bug, Nemo, or Festival of the Lion King (all are on the schedule for next time), Flights of Wonder (we have a terrific bird show at our local zoo, so nobody's interested), Kali River Rapids (no one wants to get soaked to the skin and we've seen the "action" or lack thereof on Youtube POV videos) or Primeval Whirl (nobody in the family is fond of whiplash). We do everything else there on every trip.

We went on Ellen's Energy Adventure last year- we went up for ONE day, just to do food and wine. It was 45 minutes of my life I will never get back :grumpy: and a terrible waste of time I could have been spending at the F&W fest!

Did TSI as an adult for the first time in 2011- spent a lot of time there DS (9 at the time) adored it! Got some great pictures of BTMRR from the fort :)

Passed up Space Mountain- was unsure how bumpy/jerky it was (DL's Matterhorn makes me question everything now, lol) and passed on Ellen's Energy whatever due to absolutely no interest.

Will hit Space Mountain next trip, as long as I gots me some aspirin. :)

Will still pass up Ellen's Energy whatever. haha :)

Getting great pictures of BTMRR would be worth the trip to TSI!! My DSs will be 24 and 19 next time we go but it might be a nice break in the afternoon after grumpy old DH (he'll be 65 next year) needs some time to rest:hilarious:

I strongly dislike Ellen's Energy Adventure as well. It is better than the original attraction; that was a complete snooze fest. On our last trip, my DH who had never been on it suggested we do it. I said ok, thinking it couldn't be as bad as I remember it being. I was sooooooo wrong. Never again.

We also skip Astro Orbiter (keep forgetting it is there) and HoP (no particular reason) in the MK. We skip Kali River Rapids in AK because we all hate to get wet with clothes on. In HS we skip American Idol; I didn't like the show so I bother with the attraction.

Test Track...for some reason, the last few trips we just never wanted to wait f r it...we even had FP's once, and decided not to use them. I only ever rode it once...and now that it's changed, I feel like I missed out.

Aside from most thrill rides and coasters, I've passed by:

All of the flying spinner rides (i.e. Dumbo, Carpets of Aladdin, etc.)
Mad Tea Party (I think it'd be too awkward and uncomfortable spinning a tea cup all by myself!)
Haunted Mansion (For some reason, I'm turned off by the long lines even though I've been told the lines are really not that long in general! I want to conquer the mansion on my next trip!)
Muppetvision (I always seem to forget about this attraction. I should check it out though!)
American Idol Experience
Stitch's Great Escape (The negative reviews turned me away and I heard about them even before I joined this forum!)
It's Tough to be a Bug
Finding Nemo-The Musical

There's probably more but Haunted Mansion and Muppetvision are the biggest ones I must not miss on my next trip!

I've done both the MGM Backstage tour and the Rafiki's Planet Watch train ride thing when they were new, but haven't done either one since.

Also haven't done the China, Canada, or France films. May have seen them on Youtube at some point.

I didn't do Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom last fall due to feeling nauseous in 2011 from it. I have issues with motion sickness. I haven't done The Mad Hatter Tea Cups at Magic Kingdom the last few times also due to motion sickness.

Mission Space. I loved the intensity of it, but its the only ride that I've ever been on that made me feel sick after.

This past trip in June, due to a tropical storm being there I was unable to do Test Track
I also missed out on Philharmagic due to time constraints

Rides I have never/have not been on in awhile at MK:
Jungle Cruise
Aladdin Carpet Ride
Tiki Room (Man.. Adventureland :( )
Astro Orbiter
Indy Speedway (Line too long, ride too short/boring)
Monsters Inc.

Epcot (Tropical Storm last trip...):
Missed Imagianation last trip :(
Captain EO
Living with the Land
Nemo and Friends
Test Track

Got to ride pretty much everything at HWS

Animal Kingdom:
Primeval Whirl
Its Tough to be a Bug

Still.. if I ever had more time.. I'd pretty much ride everything again at least once. :)

Well let me break it down:
MK:
- Main Street Vehicles: I can't say I ever remember riding these. I'm going to try in my next trip in October. I absolutely loved my peaceful ride on the omnibus at Disneyland, but I think MK discontinued its omnibus.
- Astro Orbiter: I only ride when the wait is below 20 minutes. This ride literally has one of the slowest moving lines.
- Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor: I only been to MILF (gotta come up with a new acronym!) a handful of times. It's a treat, but I always forget about it.
- Video Arcade: I have never played any arcade games here!
- Liberty Square Riverboat: I have only ridden once in 2010. The last time I rode, there were wasp nests all over the deck. I was so scared!
- Hall of Presidents: I have only visited twice in the past 10 years: once to see Obama, and again two years later.
- CBJ: I haven't visited since I was in elementary school, until recently in 2012. I plan on returning in every trip.
Epcot:
- Innoventions: I am still curious to see the new additions. I haven't visited since the "Sum of all Thrills" was added.
- Phineas and Ferb Agent P: I never had the interest of doing this.
- Wonders of China (Reflections of China?). I have never done this... Ever.
- Impressions de France: I have only seen the show once.
- O' Canada: I've only seen the Martin Short version once.
- Circle of Life: I visited in the 1990's plenty of times, being a big Lion King fan. I recently visited in June.
- Epcot Character Spot: Never.
DHS:
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: I will never go on the actual ride. The chicken exit is my best friend.
- RNRC: I loathe looping coasters, especially in the dark!
- Fantasmic: Not since 2000.
- Animation Building: Never.
- Disney Jr. Live: I'm a little too old for that... Even though it's Disney. Lol
- TSMM: only a handful of times. The wait is unbearable!
- POTC Jack Sparrow: Never had the interest of visiting, maybe another time.
- Studio Backlot Tour: I went a lot in 2010 and before, it's really boring. I remember it being a lot longer.
- LMA: only once in 2005.
- American Idol: Never had the interest of visiting.
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectaular: not recently. I visited a lot pre 2005.
DAK:
Everything except: Kilamanjaro Safaris, Everest, Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, and Kali. I don't visit DAK a lot.
