Ride breakdowns

Just got back from Universal Orlando. All in all a good trip, but I got stuck twice there---once on MIB at the unloading zone about 2 min and in Spiderman for 10 min. They let us ride again later in the day w/o waiting though. I also rode Hulk & DD for the first time---awesome rides!

Where in SM did you stop?

Several times actually. The first time was when Spidey battles w/ HydroMan in the sewer. The car didn't fully turn and the scene ended...then the lights came on and we heard a walkie talkie...which was a bad sign. They had to do an override on the cars and "pull" us through the ride, so we watched every other scene w/o moving. Not the most enjoyable ride but I guess these things happen. It was fixed shortly after.

It wasn't that much different w/ the lights on. SM is my fav. ride @ Universal, still is but the breakdown was still a pain. Fortunately, the breakdown in MiB was @ the unload area.

It seems like spiderman and MIB break down a lot. It seems like on MIB, something little will go wrong, and the ride will be down for a few hours (like someones seatbelt comes off). spiderman seems to be the test track of universal. Every time you go it's always messed up in some way where they have to close down the ride. I too have gotten stuck in the water scene. The car sat there and the movie played through about 5 times (cool to see it when our not moving. The perspective constantly changes on the screen because the cars normally move). Then it stopped for about 10 minutes, and then it started up again. Most of the other times the pause in the ride is less than a minute, then you get started again.

I've also gotten stuck on Dueling Dragons, the hulk, dudley do right, jurassic park, cat in the hat, and Posidions fury. Nothing ever at Universal Studio.

Ugh, I would HATE to get stuck on the coasters. Not too bad if it's @ the unloading point, but anywhere else would be terrible. Where did they break down? I haven't had too many problems w/ Spiderman before.

On the hulk I got stuck right before you get launched out, so that was about half way up the lift hill. Dueling dragons got stuck when it was about halfway out of the station. Both of these times were during the parks soft opening, so they had an excuse then.

I got stuck on E.T. too. It was very early, and me and my family were the ONLY ones on the ride. It was kind of fun. Everything still moved, but the music shut off. We got passes to ride rides the rest of the day without any wait at that park.

Now that i think of it. I got stuck on theunter mt. too. I think it was towards the end of the ride, befor you go through the dinosaur bones. For some reason, the brakes went on and stopped the train, so they walked everyone off of the ride and gave free passes to ride later.
