We always go to Richters in Universal because the burgers are something special.
This time they were shocking. Like them micro burgers from ASDA.

Anybody know why ?

Finnegan's and Mythos are the only two places we even bother with in the parks.

Too many choices on CityWalk or the resorts that are so much better.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. How were they shocking?

Universal has terrible food!! I avoid eating there - but the eat all day pass is good!
Highly disagree. I find that their pizza, burgers, chicken fingers, and other standard fast food items are actually better than Disney's.

The only places I like to eat at in Universal are Three Broomsticks, Monster Cafe and Margaritaville. I've eaten at most of their restaurants and they're about on par with an Applebees, save for a few specialty items.

You're saying Bice and Tchoup Chop are just like Applebee's?

Seriously?

I haven't eaten at either of those places yet, though I have eaten at most locations in City Walk and both parks. From my experiences, Hard Rock Cafe, Nascar Cafe and NBA City had the food quality of an Applebees, just more expensive. And that is eating at each restaurant several times. I've either gone at bad times, or its just not of a very high quality to begin with. The same goes for several locations in the parks, which can be hit or miss. I wasn't trying to infer that all of Universal's offerings were garbage, rather I just made an error in not being specific.

There can be quite a wait if you hit them at peak hours.

Reservations never hurt.

I went to Mythos, and i think it's highly overrated. I mean, it was good, but not nearly as AMAZING as everyone says it is. I'd only go there for the theming, and i've seen it once, i don't need to see it again.

I don't like any of the places to eat at IOA, i love finnegan's though at US :)

I can understand how Mythos can be overrated if you heard nothing but bragging about it. I think part fo the charm is realizing there is that good a restuarant where you can sit down and relax in the middle of a theme park. Disney and Universal are the only parks that can have that experience and even then they are rare.

On a side note of dining, if anyone can make it to the Hard Rock Hotel's breakfast at The Kitchen I would go for it. It is a fantastic breakfast buffet with hot and cold plates of many varieties with freshly squeezed juices

Richter's = Worst Burgers Ever!!

I do enjoy some of Universal's other dining choices but the burgers I've had there were dry, gray, and tasteless.

On a side note, I've found Sea World's over the counter food to be the best of all the parks.

You should hear about the time when I ate at The Burger Digs. I ordered chicken nuggets. The first few were fine. But, the last one's interior looked like a combination of human waste and glue. I complained to the management about this. They said that they couldn't do anything about. Wouldn't that bother you?

Mythos is better than any restaurant I've been to in any theme park. That said, other than that, the food fare in the parks at Universal are fairly average except for a few desert locations. Its not that big of a deal however when you consider all that Citywalk has to offer.
