I recently celebrated my 30th birthday in WDW in September 2010. I wore my button proudly all week and I even added my age on there. I'm not one of those girls who is sad to turn 30, I welcomed it because frankly my 20's sucked (no money to go to WDW lol). Magical things happened all week but on my actual birthday my boyfriend and I were at EPCOT and we boarded the Friendship to get back to Future World from World Showcase. We sat in the front row and the captain, Richard, noticed my button and wished me a Happy Birthday. I was very pleased and I thought that was the end of it but he HAD to plus it. He got on the microphone and told all of the passengers to repeat after him:
Richard: Oh no!
Passengers: repeat
Richard: Shelley's turning 30.
Passengers: repeat
Then he got the ENTIRE boat to sing Happy Birthday to me! It turned out to be the second most magical thing that happened on that vacation - my boyfriend proposed to me that night on Peter Pan's Flight at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!
