Ricardo Shillyshally fails to plan

So I work with a fellow...let's call him Ricardo Shillyshally, who has a WDW trip coming up. I overhear him in a conference room being loud and obnoxious about the trip. Turns out he and his family are going to Disneyland in Florida. They are also going to go see the Harry Potter Place and SeaWorld (got that one right at least).

He said they were staying in a condo right beside Disneyland and would drive to the Disney mall and park so he did not have to pay the 10 dollars or whatever they charge to park, then just ride one of the buses or boats. His brother-in-law, let's call him Mr. Tudball, who is providing the condo, told him about how you put your ticket in a machine and get a ticket to come back later to ride the rides, so they don't have to be in a hurry to get to the rides.

Now, this guy is kinda a jerk and I don't know him very well except when in his department I go to someone else if I need anything. Not wanting his family to have a bad trip, I ordered the Unofficial Guide from Amazon and it came yesterday. Today I put it and a Universal and SeaWorld brochure (I always pick up brochures while enjoying my 'Welcome to Florida O.J. at the 1-75 welcome center) on his desk when no one was looking. I figured that was easier than trying to help a know-it-all jerk.

Do you think this was a good idea, or butting in quietly when I should not have butted in at all?
