awww...can't believe I missed it, I was there yesterday, had a fastpass, but with all the heat and people around I just ended up going to MK after I finished SWW. Oh well, there's always next time.

I went on it today in DCA......nothing really a WOW change! I enjoy the new scene but still not enough time to take in everything. The Hamm & Eggs game is a bit off with Buttercups voice because you have to get used to it. The prize screen seems much better, but if you want to have some real fun ask to be sat in row 4 (someone reset Buzz in that screen:animwink:)

As I said before Disney Marketing refuses to call the attraction by it's real name. They are under the impression that guests don't know what a Midway is. As has been exemplified in the past Disney has pretty incompetent marketing departments.(See new Imageworks page.)
From wikipedia
The attraction is being referred to as both Toy Story Midway Mania! and Toy Story Mania!. While the attraction marquees and some in-park signage read the former, the latter has been used in press releases to the news media, used in both resorts' advertisements, and on the disneyland.com disneyworld.com and official promotional website for the attraction, along with attraction merchandise. Basically according to WDI it is Toy Story Midway Mania!. To the geniuses in Marketing it is Toy Story Mania!

However the sign on the actual attraction in BOTH parks is Toy Story Midway Mania!.

Hope you are stocked up on the sleeping pills...sounds like your are gonna lose some sleep over the name folks are calling the attractions.

Thanks for the laugh though.

That's funny. I think the Midway part SHOULD be stressed, if only to let people know it's not much more entertaining than playing a Midway produced arcade game. :p I'll never understand the appeal of this in a Disney park as an attraction. It would have been ok as a coin operated shooting gallery, but a major attraction???

The Midway Mania name makes a lot more sense at DCA where the ride is actually located on... wait for it... a midway. :D

I was at DCA today, and was able to experience the new changes.

In addition to what Steve mentioned:

In the practice game, many characters from Toy Story 3 appear as images above the characters that hold the targets. In the first game, now hosted by Buttercup there is a new 2000 point Buttercup target that appears, and Buttercup appears at the end.

In Rex and Trixie's Dino Darts, the first Easter Egg I uncovered has to do with the lava flows coming down from the volcano. Once these lava flows are eliminated, the volcano will erupt with balloons, much like what happened when you popped all the balloons on the cloud in Bo Peep's Balloon Pop.

They also have a new "high score for the vehicle" which is a nice touch.

Please refer to the attraction by it's real name.

The name of the attraction is Toy Story Midway Mania!. If you are going to abbreviate it use Midway Mania. The name Toy Story Mania! was a dumb idea by Disney's marketing department because they thought guests were too dumb to know what a Midway is.

Oh GOOD GOD. Get over yourself and chillax. :brick:
