Reviews of Fulton's Crab House needed

My husband and I are taking my parents on their first trip to WDW. My mom LOVES seafood so we're thinking of going to Fulton's. I've heard through some friends that Fulton's has got wonderful food but that the portions are very small ... especially for the amount of money. In other words, you leave with an empty wallet and you're still hungry. Has anyone else found this to be true? Do you recommend another seafood place instead of Fulton's?

We were at Fulton's in May and were quite pleased with every aspect of our dinner. Good wine list, service, fresh seafood. We had the calamari appetizer and thought it was one of the best we've had anywhere. Entrees were done perfectly and we did not leave hungry. As far as pricing, it is comparable to any good restaurant in a big city.

I have not been there in a couple of years so the following may have changed. The prices are OK considering that the seafood we received was outstanding. I highly recommend the calamari appetizer and the Alaskan King Crab Claws. some of the best seafood we ever had. I left completely full and almost, but not quite, wishing I had not ate sooooo much.

I highly recommend it for a splurge on dinner and will going back in October on our next trip. :)

We've been 2x. Once when it was great...and once when it was just average. So i guess i am not helping you. Flying Fish, at the Boardwalk, is good as well. We've had consistently good meals there. Good luck and I actually think Fulton's will be fine...

I recommend it as well. You have to go into it realizing you will spend a bit more than another restaurant meaning you will enjoy a full meal with appetizers, entrees, and dessert. We spent about $100 for the two of us, but had an excellent meal. The atmosphere was good, too.

I remember our bill being about 120-140 but the meal was great. you have to try the clam chowder, it is some of the best i have ever had. Supposedly they are famous for it and i can see why.

I'm not the biggest Fan of Fulton's. I've had much better seafood--especially for the price they are charging. The food is by no means bad. However, it seems that the entree choices are mundane at best.

If you're interested in good seafood, I would suggest the Flying Fish at the boardwalk. The cusine is much more creative and the decor is really amazing. Prices at both places are comparable.

Hope this helps.:)

We love Fulton's since we are seafood fanatics. We've eaten there six times and only had one "average" experience, the others I would rate "very good" to "excellent" in regards to both quality of food as well as service. Being native New Englanders we're particular about having fresh seafood so that's why we would recommend you folks give it a try. The prices reflect the quality so that's why they may seem high compared to a pseudo-seafood place like a Red Lobster :hurl: .

Have a great time!

Hey, Andy!! Nice to see ya! Thanks for the review!

OK, I'm getting lots of great info here and I really appreciate it. But now there's one more question I MUST ask. Anybody know how good their non-seafood items are? I know.. seems crazy... but I really don't like seafood. 3 our of the 4 of us who are going like it. I'm the oddball. We're going for their sake.. not mine.

I will be sure to pass on your suggestions of specific dishes to my family. Now I just need a suggestion for me!

I travel all over the US for my job (sales) entertaining clients at nice, but not over the top, restaurants. My wife and I loved Fultons when we started going during our honeymoon in 1995, however our opinion is that as the prices have gone up the quality has dropped as quickly. We visit WDW typically 3-4 times per year and I entertain clients on site regularly during conferences. Unfortunately Fultons has become overpriced seafood of moderate quality, yet we continue to go for its location. I would highly recommend Flying Fish Cafe for seafood (Boardwalk), Spoodles (Boardwalk), or the Portabello Yacht Club (PI).

My Husband and I were there in January and he got steak. They brought it out to him and as the waiter was walking away my husband asked..."Can I have a steak knife?". The waiter laughed and replied..."Sir, I don't think you will be needing a knife for that steak". He was right....you could cut it with a fork! Now whenever we go out and he orders steak he sighs and says..."Its not as good as Fulton's" The staff was also very friendly :) Hope this helps!
