Actually they've been doing DINNER at Be Our Guest for the last two weeks, on and off, for the people involved with the creation of the restaurant and those in corporate with their families. In fact, there was dinner being held on the night of Wednesday the 24th. ;)

Lunch has also been being served for the past few weeks during the cast preview. All for free, with vouchers, given to the cast and their families. Dinner last Wednesday night was free too! :)

I'm hoping they continue this while I'm there next week and while I'm not an AP I'm going to be stalking the area while I'm in the Magic Kingdom and will be getting MVMCP tickets in hopes of getting in that way too... Has lunch and/or dinner at Be Our Guest been served during the parties?

I know that lunch was served during the Cast Member previews for free with vouchers. It's also being served during other previews, like the ap previews, but they have to pay for lunch. Dinner

Dinner was given to the cast of the restaurant, those who worked on creating the restaurant, corporate and all their families during the past few weeks. That dinner was free as well (and delicious too!).

I know that they'll most likely keep lunch open for the remainder of the previews. Dinner looks like it will only start being served, to the general public starting, on November 19th. That was the first day people were able to make reservations.

Just thinking outloud...Lunch, any steak sandwich brought to table in 5 minutes, has to be hang'n around.

This is my first view of the touchscreen technology here in this review, and I am very impressed at the ability to modify, view nutritional info, and see allergy info. That right there is SUCH an added benefit in my mind. I truly hope that this is something that starts rolling out with the rest of NextGen.

We got in during the party last Monday and they had the entrance opened up and you could see into the main dining room/armory but that was it. Couldn't walk through it and weren't serving. Might change as time goes on though.

Chiming in here...

We were 2 of the first people into the restaurant for lunch yesterday, and we must totally agree with the review.

The ambiance of the dining rooms is beyond anything we imagined. Even seeing all of the pictures and videos that have been circulated, we have to say they did the restaurant itself no justice at all. We chose to eat in the West Wing where it wad darker, cooler and calmer. The music was an amazing thing we noticed. Imagine some of the happier bits of music from the movie, stripped down to very minimal arrangements, and placed into a minor key. Being musicians, it gave the room and even more sad feeling. Not in a bad way, but it just took the theme of the room to another level for us.

As for the food, we felt it was now the best quick service option in the MK, hands down!

The food was fresh, tasty and fast.

We had the Crouque Monsieur with green beans, which was perfectly grilled and delicious....

The steak sandwich with fries was as advertised, hot fresh and not overcooked. It certainly did not seem to have been sitting around under a heat lamp. Above all it was soft and tender, not tough and overcooked. I will agree that the fries were basic fast food fries, but were tasty none the less.

We shared the Triple chocolate cupcake and the chocolate creme puff. They were exceptional! Of note, my wife noted that the whipped cream was "real" no ready whip stuff here.

We felt the prices were on par with what we got. And we'd rather spend $11 on a steak sandwich here than $10 on a burger and fries elsewhere

Lunch was so good (and as the reviewer stated, we just didn't want to leave the restaurant) that we made reservations for dinner.

We shared the french onion soup which was excellent, and we later found out it is vegetarian! No beef broth is used, which says more to us about the flavor it had!

My wife had the pork chop which was thick, juicy and flavorful. She said it could have been the best prok chops she's ever had. The macaroni au gratin was delicious, though not exactly what was expected.

I had the strip steak, which was perfectly cooked and amazingly seasoned. This dish came with pommes frites, which are "not" the basic fast food fries. They were fresh and not overly greasy. Best of all they came with a black truffle aoli for dipping. It was also fantastic!

Desserts are pretty much the same choices as luch so we tried two others. The lemon raspberry creme puff was delicious, as was the strawberry cream cheese cupcake.

As for the price, this was not a cheap meal, but not moreso than any fine dining elsewhere in the World. We felt our meal was worth every penny!

Overall, our experience here was outstanding, all things considered...the food, the ambiance and the service were all top notch.

We'll definitely be back again and again!

Ok great, thanks for the response! Gives me an idea on what to expect! Like you said, I hope they change that and open the restaurant up fully! I'll be there regardless with my wallet... I'm willing to pay whatever to try it. I only go to Walt Disney World once a year as our family vacation so I'm desperate to get in while I'm there which happens to be during all the AP previews :/

How so? You can fresh cook a steak of that size in about 2 minutes.

I'm Jaded. My DS friend and former roomie works there, mid management. Steak was the number one choice during CM previews. Oh the rude awakenings for these young'ins that earned restaurant and hotel management degrees and wound up at a Disney Quick Service facility.

Did you enjoy the steak sandwich?

We were there last week and were denied entrance on multiple days. On Halloween a friend of ours was able to get in. We rushed over and were told that only cast members could get in. We told them that a friend of ours just go in and they let us in too. This was at about noon time. We got to check out the whole area. Before we left we asked if we could make reservations for dinner. They let us make reservations for 6:55. We left and were able to get back in by just saying we had dinner reservations. This worked out to be perfect. We were not staying for the Halloween parade but it was going on right when we were done with dinner. The food was excellent as was the service.

I can not wait to check this place out. I honestly am not expecting out of this world for the quick service meal. Plain old "good" will be fine with me. It is counter service after all. But I do have high expectations for the atmosphere. Ballroom, Rose room, West wing - I will be happy to see any one of them.

Maybe not expect the world..but I would expect a high quality quick service experience...

I'd call it quick service plus!

One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet, has anyone sat at a table with more than one ordering "group"? i.e. can the table's RFID system handle more than one Enchanted Rose tag per table? I haven't read from anyone who's done that yet.

I know the greeter at the entrance to the parlor ordering room asks your party size, but that doesn't work if you have a group where people want/need to pay individually or use different dining plans.
