Reusing photopass cards

As I sit here at my computer, I see my photopass card from our April trip sitting on top of my monitor. And it got me wondering...can I bring that card with me on our next trip and reuse it, or do I have to start out with a new card?

No big deal either way, as it is quite simple to get a card...you just get a new card from the first person who takes your pic. But if I decided to take that card with me next time and reuse it just for silly sentimental reasons, would it work?

Sure! I reuse Photopass cards all the time. I think I used one card for a year. I use them until the photographers tell me they're no good anymore.

You can reuse it, but why bother?

Well, it certainly doesn't take any effort at all to get a new card from the photopass person. However, since I have my card right here, it wouldn't take that much more effort to just stick it in my vacation wallet for the next time we go to WDW, and be all set with my photopass card, and be able to say that it is the same one I used last time. No big deal one way or the other, and it wouldn't be worth turning the house upside down to find it just to reuse on the next trip. But since it's right here anyway, why not? It's just one of those things that I thought I'd ask about just out of curiousity since I was sitting here yesterday.

Reusing the cards is definitely not a problem. However, I always like to get a new one that way I keep the others as a collection like we do with room keys & such. I especially like the miniature ones they give you at the water parks.

You should be able to use the same card. However a few words of caution. The pics will expire that much earlier. Since the card has already been linked with a photopass account, your 30 days will start as soon as they take the picture. That is instead of the normal 30 days to register and then 30 days to edit. Also, you won't be able to participate in any photopass shares unless you are the group leader and you will need to take the earlier expiration into account when setting up the share. Also, I have had a card where the numbers/barcode for whatever reason started to wear off. If you do use it, make sure you have the number written down (good practice anyway) in case the same happens to you.
