Returning from Disney

Does anyone ever plan something specifically to look forward to after they return from WDW so they won't be (at least temporarily) depressed? I'm working on that now.

We thoroughly clean the house, do laundry, and pay bills before we go. We're always depressed upon returning home, but at least nothing requires immediate attention!

My wife and I had such a wonderful time for our last trip; we celebrated our 10th anniversary. It took me two weeks to stop day dreaming and actually get anything accomplished and get refocused on my job. I can't tell you how many times I visited webposts and picture posts.
Although we do not have any current plans for a future trip, I know that we'll definately be going back... AND I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

This year we will be coming home on Christmas Eve so, I plan to have everything wrapped and ready for the holiday. We have a timer on our tree lights so they will be twinkling when we walk in the door. Christmas at home is just about the only thing that will make us feel better about having left WDW.

We don't even leave for 3 weeks and already I'm thinking about comming home. :( Only you guys understand. It's not about greed :lookaroun. Well maybe it is. But when it comes to DW it is just so hard to say good-bye.

To answer your question, this website and planning the next trip get me through. Even if I don't know for sure when our next trip will be I start thinking of where I'd like to stay and things I want to do and redo.

Also, GenerationX, I'm with you! I try to take care of all that nastiness before we leave so I don't have to come home and actually work right away!

One of our favorite things to do is regale all of our friends (who don't give a whit about DW  !) with every little detail. They are probably already planning how to avoid us when we return. Oh well, at least there's always you guys!

If we get alot of gifts- we mail them from Disney to our house so they are either waiting for us when we get home or will get home soon after we arrive- then I get to open a great package from Disney and remember all the great things we did :D

I mope around.. a lot. After our last trip I took a slight hiatus from this site, my WDW/Disney mp3s and almost everything Disney. After a couple weeks, I got back in the swing of things and was back on the horse with the monkey on my back. ;)

No matter where I go I always do oh 24 hours ago we were here. Oh a week ago we were doing this. I can always remember times and things like that. But I cant remember what I had for dinner yesterday.

Oh yeah it was soup.

are you kidding I just got back the 3rd and I am still in a depression. I find my self thinking: 1 week ago today I was riding splash mountain, 2 weeks ago today, 3 weeks ago, 4 weeks etc. But then I think to myself, just make a countdown until we are going again, and then I feel a little better!

We plan our next trip. This year, we lucked out because we're going in October and then we're going again in February with my parents so when one trip ends, the countdown to the next one won't be too far off! After that, we'll be doing wedding planning (for August '06) so I don't think we'll have much time to be mopey after that trip.

As soon as I get home, I'll start looking over possible dates for another trip!:) Although most of my trips are to Disneyland (because I live closer to it than I do Disneyworld) I always look forward to my next Disneyworld trip (25 days and counting.....)

I was just going through that today. We spent the weekend at the AKL and had the best time. Got home yesterday. Just totally out of it at work today. Couldn't concentrate at all.

Disney World has a funny way of making the rest of the world seem really crappy... :)

And the Steelers lost yesterday, so it was a double whammy.

Believe it or not, we can't decide! We were going to go to WDW, we're DVC members so we wouldn't have to worry about paying for a hotel. The other option is to take a Disney Cruise, which we've never done before. I don't know at this point...we want to do something we've never done before and might not have the opportunity to do again, but on the other hand, we don't want to spend a fortune in the process. We'll probably wind up doing the cruise which will cost around $3,000 for the two of us. We don't really want to spend more than that. Not quite the response you were expecting, huh? LOL.
