Returning found items

I have an annual pass, so my son and I practically live at Disney! I find things constantly on the ground! Always returning them to lost and found. One time during a parade, I saw money on the ground, it was right infront of a lady. I told her, and she thanked me. Found someones credit card one time! I returned it immediatly! That could have been a families whole entire vacation on that card. Found a vehicle still running, doors unlocked, with no one in sight. That took about 30 minutes to sort out, but in the end the family was contacted. Thank god we locked the doors, when they called to thank us (we left a note) they informed us they had valuables in the car! Just on Sunday, I found a photopass card.. Just wondering if anyone else has found and returned anything? And a reminder those that might, always return them. Could be someone vacation on the line.

I always find phones or cameras on ride seats that have fallen out peoples pockets or I find them in the actual seat pocket thing as they have forgotten to retrieve them as they have got out the ride. I just hand them in to the nearest CM at the attraction. No biggie.

I found two apple iphones at first aid, just sitting there. I handed them to the woman who worked there. I would except they would be back.

Also, getting up from the GMR, I noticed the guy in front of me left his expensive looking camera. I yelled for him and he was appreciative.

Someone dropped a $100 bill right in front of us on the walkway to Kilimanjaro Safari. It certainly helped offset some of the dinner bill at Boma later that night. :D

Mostly sunglasses, hats, phones, and cameras are the things I find and return to the nearest CM.

Occasionally I'll come across a well loved kid's toy, and I'll take a few moments to see if I can spot a panicked parent retracing their steps in the area. I'd say about half the time in 10 minutes the toy makes it back to the owner. The other half I'll snap a picture and post it on a few Disney groups and then bring it to guest services myself. (We've had a few plush critters with unplanned "adventures" in my family that nearly derailed the whole day.)

At Disneyland, we lost a beloved hat and a toddler's shoe. We filled out the lost item cards at guest services per a CM's urging but had no expectations. When we got home, a package with both items was waiting for us. Disney goes the extra mile.

Most people at Disney are honest. They have lost and found things. If we find anything, we hand it over to a CM where we found it. My DD lost her entire pin trading bag. Realized right after getting off the ride. Informed a CM, but it was not in the vehicle after we the next people got off. 2 days later, it was at the TTC L&F. All pins were still in it.
