Return Trip in July

Hey all, I questioned you to death back in February and March during my first Disney trip. It went well, and we both (my girlfriend and I) thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We stayed at Pop Century for 3 nights and 4 days at the beginning of March.

Now we are planning another trip to Disney at the very end of June/beginning of July (possibly July 4th)

Firstly, how difficult will it be now for me to get a reservation at Pop right now? It's a little over a month away, but we haven't finalized plans yet.

Secondly, since I've already been to Pop, would you recommend us trying the All-Star resorts this go around? I did love Pop--I mean it was much better than I thought it would be!

Considering that this time will be MUCH busier than our March visit, should I expect appreciably longer bus waits, park line waits, and meal waits? I really don't care--we'll enjoy it either way, but I'm just curious.

Also, what is the best day to go to Animal Kingdom? And what are the hours during the summer? Same question for Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach?

Thanks a bunch to anyone who helps answer my questions (even just one!), and I'm sure you'll be hearing more of me in the coming days/weeks!

probably will be kind of difficult, but who knows. if you wanted a change from POP i would try All Star Movies, the theming is great, but again that is a matter or opinion. the buses at the all stars are not as good but never really affected my trips before, 3 times at all stars and 1 at POP. you should check the official disney world page, they have all the hours and extra magic hours for july up already i think.
i always try to go to the water parks as early as possible, my last trip we did typhoon and blizzard as soon as they opened, no lines, no crowds, and we were done before 12, which gave a ton of time to hit a couple other parks throughout the rest of the day.
good luck getting something at POP, you will probably end up only getting All Star music or sports though, later.

At the end of April we were trying to get a room starting 7/5 and were limited to the resorts that were available. If you want a room around 7/4, start looking immediately.

Considering all of the kids will be out of school and it's mid-summer, the lines, etc will definitely be longer. I would make dinner reservations in advance and try and hit the parks early morning to noon-ish so you can avoid the afternoon crowds, heat/humidity and showers.

The park hours are usually longer during the summer, so MK probably opens around 8am until 10pm. Epcot usually opens at 9am, but World Showcase usually doesn't open till 11am. AK is open pretty early and I'm not sure about the evening hours. Take advantage of the EMH if you can, especially at the waterparks...you can get SO MUCH in before the crowds hit! Then leave, when it starts getting too busy.

I would check allearsnet.com (or on here?) for July park hours, because they're usually posted in advance. I love visiting WDW at anytime, but July is a HOT one! So, definitely take an afternoon nap/swim! Have fun!

Hey Lefty!
You sound like me, I went in January (first time) and I am planning to go again this summer cuz i Just counldn't wait!
Here is a link with the park hours, it is really helpful to plan ahead.

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/calendar/parkhours/calendarHome?id=MKCalendarParkHoursMonthlyViewPage&date=20060701

Also, I tried to get into the All-Star Movies for August but the only rooms are available were preffered for an extra amount of money (i think it was around 80) so I just went with the All-Star Music. But def. start booking now!

About picking a different resort, it's your own opinion. But i too stayed at the pop the first time and I want to try sumthing different (so i'm going with music)

Hope this helps

I'm going in July too (actually my third trip this year) and taking my nephew because he is out of school then. I just called and booked all my dinner ressie's and got every place I wanted at the prime dinner hour 6:00p. We usually leave the hotel a little later in the morning and don't come back until the late evening. There is no napping on my watch:lol:  !
