A visit after a quarter century will definitely be an experience. If pricing and cost are a big issue, welllll simply put grit your teeth, don't stare at the price tags, stand by for sticker shock then get into being there, enjoying and making good memories. When all is said and done it may be another quarter century before the next opportunity to go.

True, kinda like the Harry Potter wand store Olivanders.

About that tho... I found out that you can skip the line and get in to look around and non-saber shop. Not the entire experience, but if you are not buying a saber, I do recommend you skip the line and look around at least.
Theres not much to see in Savi's if they aren't doing the building 'show'. Are you sure you weren't in Dok-Ondar's?

What I find telling on the lightsabers is that you can find them at goodwills on a regular basis that are often under a hundred, and these aren't the cheap plastic one they are very often the FX type that sold for more than 300 new. It tells me that these overpriced toys are really a waste of money when so many of them end up given away when people de clutter their homes. They aren't dumped as often as Harry Potter wands, but then Universal sell those much cheaper so you would expect more to be out cluttering kids' closets at a much higher rate.
Yeah, you're gonna have to start picking those up for me.

While greed plays a part the reality is some costs have gone up over the past 25 years. Minimum wage was about 5 dollars 25 years ago now its 11 in Florida, anytime you increase labor cost by more than 100 percent in a service industry you are going to see price go up dramatically. That can account for some increases... but what chaps my hide is the McDonalds style raising of prices while lower quality BS that Disney has been engaged in over the past couple of decades. Raise the prices, but stop with the cheapening of things...
I get that just look at inflation over the last 20 years.....
Then look subsequent staff pay raises, then look at ticket prices and other items.......
You can see very little correlation between the two.
Our last trip, a week ago, the quick service food was absolutely abysmal. We could not belive it. Pre covid, quick service was actually decent.
My wife and I could share a meal easily and the flavour was really good for park food.
Burgers were my go to at wdw. I though for the money and taste they were great.
I tried the burgers at all the parks, worst I have ever had. The meat it now full of fillers, dry and zero flavour.
Don't get me started on ride maintenance.
Even our 5 year was noticing this, it's that bad on some rides.
With these prices there are no excuses.

It's too bad, wdw has really gone downhill.

In any forum, I have never recieved so much love and wonderful advice. Despite some negative things I see about Disney visitors, everyone here seems like a family. I appreciate all of you. I did go through and through much struggle manager to secure a slot for the lightsaber build. Im excited to be doing this.
Enjoy......may the force be with you😉

You will see some negativity on here, but it isnt like every other message board or comment section. It isnt based on politics or hatred of others. Its not even based on anger, its LOVE that brings up alot of the negativity.

Love in we care about the parks and only want the best for them, and when we dont see it, it brings up the negativity. But in the end of the day we love the parks, maybe not some of the decisions, but the parks.

Welcome aboard.

Hey, it's been a while. I wanted to thank everyone. I had one of the best times of my life after much turmoil and sadness. Experiencing everything again, for the first time, was worth every penny, every moment, every tear, to feel like a kid, again. I am planning on returning next January for a much longer stay.
