Results of horrible weather

Back in 2004, it was the year of the hurricane - Named storms went all though the alphabet and into the Greek letters. My friend and I became buddies with The Weather Channel. One storm was moving out of the area before we arrived, then circled back (I think?) and an outer band came in and poured for a couple of hours while we were at HS. We ate at Pizza Planet and then made a dash to GMR. By the time we exited that ride, the sun was out. Then another hurricane/TS was headed that way as we were leaving.

Yes but my 450pm the rain is gone, the air is cool. I like it lol

My first trip to Disney World was when I was about eight years old. The thing I remember the most is how it rained almost the entire time, to the point where we got stranded in Pizza Planet for almost the entirety of our designated MGM day.

I rode Big Thunder one time when it was just pouring. I always thought they shut down outdoor attractions when it's raining but I guess it's just for lightning. Needless to say, it was quite the experience.

We did TestTrack in the middle of a storm once. We waited forever for the storm to pass. They started the attraction. People cheered. Halfway through our turn, the weather started up again. They had to complete the cycle so we did the last part in a massive heavy downpour. It was like taking a shower at 65 miles an hour. Talk about a macroderm (instead of a microderm). My kids loved it.

Because it never rains in Florida. I'd be shocked if there was a summer afternoon when it didn't...

That's why Disney has those lovely $10 ponchos for sale.

I guess I have been lucky-3 trips to WDW, all in March, nothing but sunshine and blue skies. The temperature at night left a bit to be desired, though.

A couple of weeks ago we were there. We just finished riding Spaceship Earth and about to head to Frozen when it started to downpour. It was thundering and lightning also. By golly though, we had Frozen Fast Passes and we weren't going to waste them! We ran like there was no tomorrow. I even had to take my flip flops off and ran barefooted. We were totally drenched, but we made it!

am I the only one who continues around the park when it rains? It's only water, last I checked, I'm not the wicked witch, not like I'm gonna melt. And I walk on to all the indoor rides

Not at all! What's a little rain? We even ran from one ride to another during a big storm. No time to waste! I'm always surprised when it's a little drizzle and people are taking cover just for that. Besides, I have long given up trying to have nice hair at Disney. ;)

A few years back I went down for a long weekend and it wasn't horribly stormy but just a constant, steady sort of light rain all weekend.

I had planned to be there for 3-4 days and left after day 1. The problem was that I was soaked to the bone and, with that, chafing pretty much everywhere. Add to that my hotel had bugs (non-Disney) and I just checked out the next day and drove home (the weather said it was going to be a week of this kind of constant, sort of drizzly rain).

Not a good time.

The lady at the front desk of the hotel asked why I was checking out early. I told her both the weather and bugs in my room. She asked, "Well, did you tell anyone?" I said, "I'm telling you now. I don't know how your staff could miss that many bugs in the room. It wasn't an odd roach."
