I am looking for the best places to eat at Disneyland. I have considered Ariel's Grotto because my fiancee and I want to go to a character meal. But I want to know what someone else thinks.

What place(s) do you like to eat at around the general Disneyland vicinity?:veryconfu

The restaurants at Disneyland and DCA don't really compare to the restaurants at WDW. However, Redd Rocket's Pizza Port in Tomorrowland is pretty good.

The only sit-down restaurant in Disneyland is the Blue Bayou in the POTC. The atmosphere is similar to San Angel Inn in the WS. Food is pretty good, but expensive. You are paying for the atmosphere.

The hotels have better restaurants. Storytellers and Napa Rose at the Grand Californian;Granville's at the Disneyland Hotel and PCH Grill are all very good restaurants.

DTD has Naples and Catal both very good.

Enjoy:slurp: :slurp: :slurp:

I have enjoyed Ariel's Grotto a few times. It is a nice restaurant with lots of room between the tables. The food has been good and character interaction very good. I prefer to sit inside rather than out on the deck.
At Disneyland The Plaza Restaurant has good food. It is sort of a counter service restaurant that they call a sramble. You go get your meals from stations and then pay. The interior here is very victorian and pretty.
Red Rockets has good foor but the eating areas leave a lot to be desired as far as atmosphere goes.
Rancho del Zocolo has had inconsistant food. The mexican food has been okay. I have not tried the BBQ. It is set up so you pay last and by the time you get to your seat the food is cooling off. The eating areas are somewhat interesting.
Out side the parks the restaurants at the hotels are mostly all good. We like Storyteller Cafe at the Grand Californian. At the Disneyland Hotel I like Goofy's Kitchen and Hook's Point.
Behind Disneyland on Ball Road is a good place called the Spaghetti Station!
